I searched the Amazon site for a racing game that came with a steering wheel for Wii and thought that this game sounded like something my husband would like. Well, the game came. and lo and behold no steering wheel. I called amazon (good luck finding the number) and was informed by someone that could barely understand or speak English that I would not be getting the steering wheel with the game. So I now have to make an additional purchase because I already have the game. I have not yet gotten the game console and I hope to goodness that I do not have as much problem getting that order straight. There are other issues, but I will wait until all is said and done to comment... Do not depend on their search criteria! Need for Speed Carbon

Need to be able to use the classic controller with it like you can with Underground and it would be better. Hubby begged for it and played it for a whole five minutes. Waste of money!

When I was looking on Amazon for a great racing game, I went straight to Need for Speed. Originally I was going to purchase Most Wanted because I thought Carbon was just a racing game like Prostreet: No Pursuits, no freeroam, just cars and racing. Then I did some research on Carbon. Carbon has nearly EXACTLY the same features as MW with the exclusion of helicopters (I didn't really like them anyway), Drag Races are replaced with Drift racing, returning from Underground. Drift Racing drives me insane. Fortinately, they aren't required to continue the career, but you will have to do one to get Tribal vinyls.
Then there's the canyon. (dramatic music here)
Canyon racing can be both awesome and annoying at the same time. The dangerous part is on some turns there are yellow walls that break when touched. If you fall off, you lose, of course. Three types of canyon are in career: Canyon sprint (can't fall of, both N2O and SB), Canyon Drift (Can fall off, N2O) and Canyon Duels (Can fall off) Canyon Duels are the best way to decide who's the best racer at like a party or something.
Now to Career mode. Remember the BMW from NFSMW? The wicked blue and white one? You get to drive it for approximetly 30 seconds before you crash it into a truck. There are three catagories to choose from at the beginning after you totaled one of the coolest cars in the world. The catagories are Tuner (High turning, low speed) Muscle (High Accel, low turning) and Exotics (High speed, low accel can be easily fixed.) I went with Exotics, and I will never regret it. Of course, you can buy other types, too. The territory system is a major part of career. You and your crew(explained later) must concur the four main parts of Palmont City: Fortuna, Downtown, Kempton, and Silverton. Each are mostly owned by the four big boy street racers. Fortuna is owned by Wolf, leader of T.F.K., exotic (No idea what that stands for) Downtown is owned by Kenji, leader of Bushido, tuner, Kempton is owned by Angie, leader of 21'st Street, Muscle, and Silverton is owned by ???? (If I said the name, it would spoil the entire game.), leader of Stacked Deck, Mixed. Occasionally, you will be challenged by smaller crews to a race on your territory. If you accept, you race. If you say no, they get your territory. Now to the Crew system. In a race, you can have a crew member help you in a race and believe me, you want to. Trust me. There are three types of crew members: Blockers, drafters, and Scouts. Blockers, when activated, will ram the nearest car to him, sending him 95% of the time to last place. Drafters, I don't know what they do, but they're useless. Scouts find the fastest route around the track, and that includes shortcuts. Some crew members have outside race abilities, like unlocking Autosculpt (again, more on that later) parts, getting discounts on parts and cars, and lowering the zone heat level.
And what's Street racing without the 5-0?
The pursuit system is nearly like the ones in Most wanted, without helicopters. Pursuits can happen in the middle of a race, or in Free Roam when you cause destruction and mayhem. In a pursuit, you are chased by the police, while you have to outrun -and outsmart- them. There is an Evade/Busted meter at the top that tells you how close you are to the two. You can total the cops by hitting there car a bunch of times, hitting them so hard they fly up in the air, or by pursuit breakers. Like most wanted, the higher your heat level, the more aggressive the cops are. Level 1 is Civic cruisers. Level 2 is Undercover Cruisers, and they will deploy Roadblocks, which you can easily get through with Speedbreaker. Level 3 is State Pursuit Vehicles, AKA Pontiac GTOs, and Roadblocks. Level 4 is when things get real tricky.There are Undercover Pursuit Vehicles. In Roadblocks, there will now be spike strips. If you drive over one, you lose your tires, and then your life will suck. Level 5 pursuits will be over in less than 30 seconds if you have a Tier 1 car. The 5-0 will throw everything they have at you: Federal Pursuit Vehicles, AKA Corvette Z06, Roadblocks, and Spikeys. Oh, one more thing: If you get Busted, you will be charged fines depending on the carnage you've caused. If you pay your fines, your car will get an impound strike. If you get three Impound strikes, it's bye-bye to your car. If you lose your last car, or you can't pay your fines, you are put in jail, and it's game over, buddy.
Now to my Favorite part: Cars and Custimization! They have nearly ALL the cars from NFSMW and more. Some classics like the Gallardo and Mercedes SLR Mclaren return, along with new cars, like the Audi Le Mans Quattro and the Koenigsegg CCX. Even the BMW M3 E46 GTR returns! I can't name all the cars, but go to [...] to find a big list of most of the cars. Custimization time! First, you can add a coat of paint to your car. You can get Matte, metalic, candy, iderescent, Chrome, and more in any color in the universe. Some more of the things you can add and autosculpt are vinyls, spoilers, rims, rim paint, roof scoops, window tint, hoods, ride height, and, in some cars like the Corvette, Chop Tops, and more. There are well over a million combinations of cars and colors and parts. Using much of your money you win from racing, you can upgrade the nitrous, engine, suspention, transmission, and more to make it faster and better than any car.
Now to the small flaws in Carbon. The Drift races are hard, but some people are naturally great, so this isn't much of a flaw, just a lack of talent on my part. 2: There are only four bosses in this game. I was hoping to see more like a blacklist sort of system. 3: The whole game takes place at night, so it's hard to see the curves in Canyon until it's too late. 4: This game lacks online play, but it has multiplayer.
Overall, this game is nearly perfect, able to satisfy speedaholics everywhere. If you just want to race, or be on the edge and live like an outlaw, Need For Speed: Carbon is for you.

Bought this for my kids and they love it and could sit and play it for hours

Yeah love the game, was really surprised at how much fun it was, love that you can customize your cars. I wish you could sell them though. I accidentally bought the same car twice and would love to be able to sell the extra car. Anyway game is fun but I was so upset to find that there is a glitch and I can't get past a certain part. I am only about 65% through the game and now can't get any further. Everytime I beat the race (one of the boss races) the game freezes and then I have to turn it off.

I bought the Wii and love that it is brain and body exercise. The Guitar Hero is just that! I love it and am competing with my grandchildren! I can't even get into the other games of bang-bang shoot 'em up! and hacking and slashing. This is eye-hand coordination, and is just clean fun!......

I've always been a rock'n'roll junkie, and so naturally I bought Guitar Hero World Tour. In my opinion, it is one of the best games in the franchise. Guitar Hero has a great list of songs and offers character customization. The guitar that comes with the game is also cool, but may not work. The songs in Guitar Hero World Tour will leave you satisfied and playing until your fingers fall off. The list of songs that are already in the game is massive. The game offers classic rock, metal, punk, and several other genres. If you are close to a Wi-Fi hotspot, you can connect to the Internet and purchase songs to play. Guitar Hero World Tour, I believe, is the first game in the franchise that offers character customization. The amount of customizations for just one character is mind-boggling. The customization does not end with just the character; you can also customize your own instruments, including microphones, guitars, base guitars, and drums. After you've created your character, you can select it for career mode, and it will appear on the on-screen visual while you're playing. The guitar that comes with the game has changed quite a bit. It possesses a new star power button that takes the form of the bridge. It also has an all new neck slider with which you can play confusing notes and tap to strum. My experience with the guitar that came with World Tour was not good. The guitar worked for about a day, and then some of the buttons stopped working. I did some research and found out that most of the World Tour guitars are defective. The older Guitar Hero guitars work the best. If you're a hard core rock'n'roll junkie like myself, then Guitar Hero World Tour is the game for you. You'll fall head over heels for the great song list. The character customization will keep you busy trying to make your character as epic as possible. The guitar that comes with the game is the only downside to the game. I replaced it with the Les Paul guitar and it works like a charm. You will not regret buying Guitar Hero World Tour. It is probably one of the most epic games I've ever played. ......

I enjoy playing this game. I do find the guitar battles to be a little difficult. When ever I 95% complete with the song I mysteriously lose.......

I bought this game for my husband for Father's day and he can't (or won't) stop playing it. He LOVES it!!! And I got it for [..] less than what I continue seeing it priced for!!......

I love the guitar hero games and prefer them to rockband. I have not had strummer problems with this guitar like some other reviewers, but the sunburst paint coating on the body scratched off in huge areas within a couple of weeks. I had to scratch the rest of it off on purpose with my fingernails just so it wouldn't look so bad. Why would they make it so cheap? Otherwise I prefer the feel and function of this guitar far above the guitar hero 3 version.......

So much fun! I ordered a second pad for the Dance dance revolution to go head to head with my friends. Sprung the extra money to get the higher quality pad, hoping for longevity.......

The kids and I have a blast with this game! The workout mode is the only irritation. I want to work out at a consistent pace, and you have to keep stopping in between each song. ......

This dance pad works perfectly, no glitches at all. We got it for Dance Dance Revolution which is a blast! If you need an extra pad or a replacement, I highly recommend this one. ......

This is definitely the only dance mat to have. It makes sense since it's the one that was created for the game. Moves a little but nothing stays immobile. Amazon was very quick with delivery of an awesome product...as always.......

We bought the DDR game and it came with one controller, we bought an extra generic pad in the store and were so excited to play when we got home. We plugged everything in and the generic mat kept registering as a hand held controller for a video game, not a mat. So we couldn't play. We took it back and decided to pay the extra for a name brand mat and I am so glad we did, we have no problems with it at all, plus this mat is thicker and not as slippery as the generic mat was. The shipping was carefree, stress free and fast. No problems at all......

I love this controller. A LOT. It's perfect for playing Super Mario World and any other SNES games. The Classic Controller is basically an SNES remote with a few added buttons(Wii home button,joysticks etc). I was dissapointed in the fact that playing Super Mario World was unplayable with a Gamecube controller.So I bought this remote. and it turned out to be a great purchase. I want to start off by saying this classic controller is essential for playing downloadable Super NES games. The Nintendo Game Cube's wireless Wavebird controller is more fun and useful for the downloadable Nintendo 64 games because it's bigger and is also good fun to play all of your favorite N64 games wireless.However the Game Cube controllers border on unplayable for Super NES games like F Zero and Super Mario World.Way too awkward to have any fun or make progress. I am very disapointed in this product. The blue light states that the hand held remotes are charged, but then they don't stay charged. It is very frustrating when in the middle of a game.......

I have been using this product for 4 months now. The remotes no longer hold a charge longer than maybe 10 or 15 minutes. I find it annoying having to change to the other remote half way through what I am doing. I am planning on switching back to regular batteries to save the hassle.......

Well, this product is an overall success, =) It works well and I am satisfied with its quality. I need to comment about another posted review. My on/off switch DOES control both the fan and the blue light, so maybe it was just a wiring error for that one specific item the other reviewer ordered? *shrug* The fan is very quiet. The only way I can hear it is if I am sitting right next to my Wii while it is on and only if there is little to no sound in the room. The fan isn't terribly powerful, but it does the job of keeping your Wii from overheating in long game play sessions. However, I have had one or two sessions where where I've played for probably 6+ hrs in a row where the graphics would start to morph a little due to overheating, but that is still a very long game session (my hands certainly thought so!). My only complaint is that the charging stations can sometimes be a bit iffy about whether the controller's charge spot is actually touching the charging rods. This doesn't happen often, but if it does, I just have something (it doesn't need to be heavy even an empty game case works) lean against the Wii remote to get the right angle. But then again, this doesn't happen often. I also wish it was easier to find the rechargeable battery packs that come with this without buying a new cooling station too. I'm currently searching around (haven't been too thorough yet), so if you'll need to be able to charge 4 remotes, that might be a consideration for you as well. I enjoy this product though and it works well.......

I got this for the family Wii and it really seems to do the trick. We were having problems keeping the Wii cool and keeping the controllers charged. This is attractive enough that it fits in with the living room decor, which is a nice plus for me. I would agree that the blue light is bright, but it is not overpowering. I plan on getting another one as a gift.......

Well, I'm glad that this cooler has been updated with the ON / OFF switch. That means that they do listen and read reviews of people who had to modified your cooler to turn on when the Wii turns on. I have attached some pictures of the Cooler (See Above). So far, I'm glad I purchase this, I have seen many others that look like this same cooler, but doesn't offer any ON / OFF switch, this is the ONLY brand that currently offer this. ......

It is fun, they traded it in before I completed half of the game, but my kid is allowed to make that choice (girl 7). Some games are easy, some hard so it makes the purchase worth it.......

Was looking for good family games for all ages to play together and glad to report this one kept an 11 yr old, 17 yr old and 3 adults all playing together for a full evening of fun and believe me if it kept the 17 yr old out of her room and off the cell for 3 hours then it has to be good. We all enjoyed it and we are looking forward to more great family game nights!......

Carnival Games is a cool and fun wii game. My fave of the various carnival games is A Day at the Races, I remember playing this game at arcades and amusement parks when I was young, I love it! Alley Ball, Ring Toss, and Shooting Ducks are fun to play as well. Great game to play with family and friends, buy it today!......

I played around in this for about 1/2 hour one evening. I didn't have that much fun and haven't played again since. I had a hard time getting the remote to work well with the games. It seemed a little off. Now wii sport and wii fit keep me entertained and I play those alot.......

I think this game is one of the BEST out there! My mom and dad love it, too because they don't have to pay five bucks each time I want to play a game! And you win prizes, too! My favorite game in the carnival is in CLAW ALLEY-yup, you guessed it- CLOWN SQUIRT! It's SOOO fun! It excercises your arm when you shake the controller and that's how you fill the pistol up with water. Then READY, AIM, FIRE!! The clown's ears will glow up when you're getting the water in his mouth just right to fill up the balloon! Be careful, you have to work quickly! I would say that anyone who likes boardwalks or carnivals would LOVE this game! So, if you think this sounds fun, get this game!!! :) <3......

First off, this sensor bar was not an option for me, it was a requirement. I have a front-projection home theatre set-up with a Mitsubishi 720p projector on an 8-foot screen. The living room is ~24 long (from projector to screen) and 17 wide. Without this sensor, I wouldn't have been able to have the Wii in the back office with the projector. Now we just turn this baby on and play without having to worry about running a useless, tiny black cord through the living room. As other reviewers have noticed, all this device does is emit a signal that the Wiimotes then use to translate your motion to the Wii. We have perfect control from anywhere within the living room and parties with Mario Kart are especially fun when you're 1/4 of the screen is still 4x4 feet! For the price, this device would be worth the convenience factor alone. The fact that it increases Wiimote range, turns itself off after a timer, and is supremely easy to set up and use (i.e. even my boyfriend could use it and he's tech-hopeless), this device deserves all 5-stars.......

I've got a wall mounted flat screen. The original sensor bar's wire is too short to be routed through the wall and still reach (like all my other wires). It's also mounted high on the wall. SO I NEED the sensor bar to be mounted on the bottom so I can reach the ON/OFF button because it needs to be turned on and off independently of the WII (that kinda sucks). The thing needs 4 AA batteries = it's too heavy for double sticky tape to hold for very long. And you can't permanently mount it because the battery access is on the bottom that is up against the TV. I tried several ways to try and keep the thing mounted but ultimately had to DRILL into my TV's case (underneath) to make holes to run fishing line to hold it from falling off. I'll be looking for a better solution. So, if you have a flat screen mounted on the wall where you can't reach the top of the TV to turn this thing on and off ... well you've been informed and should know what you are in for.......

I like that the wii sensor bar is wireless and that although it's slightly larger than the sensor bar that came with the wii, it still fits into the same holder. I also like that the bar reminds you by a loudish beeping should you forget to turn it off. The only thing I would change would be that the bar coincidingly turn off with the wii.......

I purchased this product with the intent to use it with a projector at events and parties. As most people know by now, the Wii sensor bar is just IR LED lights. While it is possible to build your own homemade one as many people online have done, it is not cost effective to do so. The wireless sensor bar has been very useful with a projector setup, but it tends to suck down the batteries. I left some batteries in it for 6 months and they were dead when I pulled the senor bar out to use it again. If you do need this device, I would recommend only keeping batteries in it when you need to use it, because it drains them even when it's off. ......

I bought this device and game for my girlfriends Wii. She found the device to be easy to use. Although the cross hairs are not centered with the device it works very well and is easy to follow directions about how to place the controller and nun-chuck into device. I think the developers of the Wii did a great job making this device.......

This is a cleverly constructed accessory, the way it holds both controllers and hides the cable. The game is very fun. The only reason I have given it 4 stars instead of five is that the game is too short. However, for the price, that is not a big deal.......

I was looking to buy a hunting game and wii light gun when I found the Wii zapper with link crossbow training after reading the reviews and reading most people liked the game but the zapper wasnt thay great I searched online and found just the game by itself for just a few dollers. I got home and started playing the game and the first couple levels I could probly teach my dog to pass so i was thinking this has to get harder but it didnt on either my first or seconed try i was able to advance through each level all the way to the end. all though I mostly did only get a bronze medal in most of the games a few silvers with just a little more play time it wouldnt be diffucult to get the gold medal. maybe if you had a couple friends over and just wanted to play a quick game it might be fun but if you have wii play the first shooting game on there would be just as much fun.and just as challanging. so for me im glad I didnt have to spend the money to get the zapper just to get the game to find out it is way way to easy. ......

I bought the Link's crossbow training with the zapper and Call of Duty world at war and I had so much fun playing it with the Zapper its actually a different experience when you are carrying the zapper in hand and engaging in a battle. As for link Crossbow training its not a game but rather a Zapper trainer for this price I think its a very good combination......

I bought this product for my son on his birthday on Amazon because Game Stop, Target, and WalMart did not have it in stock. It was brand new and works real good. My son played with it for a couple hours the first day...the product continues to work out real well. I am very pleased.......

I bought this game for my 6yr old. She loves it! It is a bit tricky at first to figure out how to handle the remote but it is after all, a game :) There are many levels and different types of challenges. The graphics are pretty good and the music is upbeat. Overall, a great purchase!......

I'm 38 and we bought this for my 9 year-old step daughter and I play it just as often as she does. I like the free form play and the competitions in which you have to make certain choices for the model. We do have problems with the Wii remotes registering correctly on the screen, but have been able to overlook that and keep playing. The possibilities are endless. Different lengths for skirts, dresses, and pants. Plenty of styles to chose from and colors from solids to stripes to patterns. There are four different cat-walks to chose from for your model to walk down. Plenty of hair styles and colors to chose from as well. It has accessories as well such as shoes, handbags, jackets, gloves and stockings. If you have a little girl that likes to play dress-up with her dolls and plays video games, this is a good game to buy. ......

all in all, this game is worth a buy. i was intrigued when i first heard about this title. the imagine software seems to be doing great on the DS platform, with only a small release of their games for Wii. so i wanted to know what all the hype was about. at first it was hard to understand how to work the controls. but luckily, the beginning stages act a tutorial to help you learn the controls. after a short while, they became intuitive and i was breezing through the game. you can play freestyle or you can enter a project runway competition of sorts. freestyle lets you take your time and dress up the models any way you like, do their makeup and hair, and see your final creation as they strut on the runway. competition mode is you competing against other wanna-be designers and each round the lowest scoring person is eliminated. the tasks within each round are timed and incorporate a fashion theme, so you pretty much have to style the model as you're instructed. while this can sound boring, they made it interesting by giving you a few choices within the design guidelines and a time limit, so no time to overthink anything. this goes for clothes as well as hair and makeup. sometimes you'll be pleased with the overall look you've created, and sometimes you'll feel bad you made the model look so bad...i know i did. after you've gone to the trouble of doing up your model, you now have to walk her on the runway. you can do this with either the wiimote and nunchucks, or the wii balance board. i can tell you that both were taxing. this part of the game is probably my least fave. it all seemed like an afterthought. no matter how hard and fast you fling the remotes or how well you copied the moves on the balance board, somehow the moves wouldn't always register correctly, therefore causing your model to misstep on the runway. how dreadful. i guess i can live with that, but honestly i get frustrated with this part of the game. i would say the wiimote and nunchucks read better than the balance board, but you can come to your own conclusions about that if you have both options available. if not, you're not missing anything, so please don't go out in search of a balance board for this purpose alone. as you successfully complete more competitions, you unlock more styles to try on your model in free play. this is a great game for anyone interested in fashion. i would suggest this game for kids who are old enough to read. only because in parts of the game the dialogue is read aloud and other parts you have to read the dialogue yourself. that also made no sense to me. either voice all of the characters or none at all.......

Ok....I have to admit...I was a little dissapointed. My son only wanted a wii because of this game. I don't like a few things about this game, but there are things that are great. Pros A lot more characters...I especially like the addition of Blooper and Hammer Bro. Some really fun mini-games cover of the game...LOOKS FUN AND BEAUTIFUL! Some characters have better voices, like Bowser growls a lot more now. I like hitting the block with the wii remote Cons Some of the boards aren't fun, and can be annoying at times. I'm getting sick of Nintendo releasing a new Mario Party every one or two years. The series has also been lousy, and it's getting worse. The graphics and sound are even worse than your typical Mario Party, in fact they wouldn't even be worthy of Gamecube's average quality. All the modes and minigames are boring. So far in this entire series, no Mario Party game has been unique= less and less replay value. I rate this game 32/100.......

This was one of the first games I got for my Wii b/c I loved Mario Party 5 so much that I assumed this one would be as good if not better. And I was very disappointed. A lot of changes were made that I did not like and the mini games were just not that good. They were definitely not what I was expecting for the first Mario Party for the Wii and really could have been a lot better. They were extremely easy to the point of being boring; even the Bowser level in the "battle mode"- That was disappointingly easy. A friend recommended Rayman's Raving Rabbids and I absolutely love those games. If/when Nintendo comes out with their next Mario Party I will rent it before buying it.......

There was a bit of hype for this game before it came out. Sadly, I purchased this game after buying into the excitement of its release. I'm sorry to say this game disappoints on almost every level. While this is a decent game for those who have never played a first-person shooter before, it provides no incentive for veterans of the genre. And as far as FPS games on the Wii go, there are better (e.g. Call of Duty: World at War). The Conduit plays out like a game that should've been released 10 years ago. If this game were to have been released on the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, it would've been a universal flop. This game simply wouldn't fly, according to the standards set by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the Halo series or Killzone 2 (which have all defined the FPS). Among The Conduit's bad points: The Story - It is the epitome of generic. There is nothing new or that you haven't seen before. The twists are completely anti-climactic and the voice acting is awful and fails to get the player engaged. The Graphics - One of the biggest disappointments, seeing as it was supposedly going to be on par with the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. I've never seen so many jaggies on the screen. The textures are very bland, and I know the Wii can do so much better. The scenery in the game is dull and boring. Bottom line, this is almost inferior to a PS2 game. The Length - This game is short. Very short. It's got only 10 missions, and all of them are incredibly linear. The Multiplayer - This is more fleshed out than most Wii games, but the lag is distressing and the maps are boring. One good thing is the controls. Using the IR capability of the Wii remote to aim and look has always proved to be preferable to controlling with analog sticks. Still though, the control scheme in Metroid Prime 3 is far more fluid and superior to The Conduit's. What this game comes down to is that it's perfect for an introduction to the genre. Anything beyond that and you'll be disappointed.......

This game is better than I thought. Too bad that weapon accessories does not fit well to Conduit commands. Graphics are better than expected and online experience showed great sync actions Not too great: sometimes when the internet connection is low, online games are stucked in a screen that we can't do any action... nor disconnect, nor leave room. Overall rate: 9......

Don't believe the hype that High Voltage software built up for this Wii exclusive. This is an average - 3-star - game. In fact The Conduit is pretty disappointing, in my opinion. Overall the levels, weapons and bad guys were pretty generic and the story was underwhelming. Also, I found there were too many necessary controls to map it to my Wii Perfect Shot Gun from Nyko, which would have been blast and a half to play with. I purchased this game on day one and sold it within a few weeks. I played the first player campaign only and did not get into the online content. In retrospect it's no wonder Nintendo's first party games sell the best when Sega and other companies are making sub-par, okay at best - games. There's definitely a lot of promise for future first person shooters on the Wii though, especially with the release of The Wii MotionPlus. I'm certainly hoping Nintendo releases a new Wii remote with the Motion Plus system built right in! If you are looking for a good first-person shooter, I would recommend the Metroid Prime Trilogy Collector's Edition, three great games in one package - it's practically Value City! ......

A quality video game. Worth playing. Works great with the Wii Motion Plus. Great graphics. It is very violent and would not give this to my kid until he or she understand that we are really this dumb and have to kill each other like animals. But I still play, but don't give me a gun after playing this for an hour or so cause I can shoot your for being the former. Wiiiiiiii......

I bought this game for my 9yr old daughter and she loves battling Bellatrix and the death eaters in dueling matches. She also enjoys making potions and Quidditch. But I do find the game a little boring when playing by myself. But when we take turns it's a blast to play.......

For the short and simple explanation, I've been an HP fan since the beginning. I have read all the books, seen all the movies, and played all the games. This one is by far the most disappointing of the HP games. The game comprises mainly of potion making (ok), dueling (pretty cool), Quittage (can do without) and a thin plot. The developers improved the speed function by holding the `Z' button. Kudos!!! It makes going throughout the castle and ground much easier! Also Headless Nick's assistance is greatly appreciated! I'm so glad that I rented this game and not drop $50 on it. I would suggest not buying this game and rent it if you're interested in playing.......

I have played every Harry Potter game in the series and loved all of them. The puzzles, quests and mini games always made for exciting and extensive game play. Unfortunately, that enthusiasm does not extend to Harry and Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I was disappointed in the length of the story line - most likely less than 4 hours of gameplay. The side quests were to complete the Dueling Club, Potions Club and Flying Club. You also could collect crests throughout the castle - no beans, no cards, no gobstone matches, etc. The only story tasks that were completed were to fly in a few quidditch games, get attacked by a few of Malfoy's cronies and duel with the real bad guys - which was super easy! Navigation was disappointing as well. You could not pull up the Marauder's Map and see where you were or where you wanted to go. You had to call up Nearly Headless Nick and have him lead you. This game was definitely a waste of money and I will surely think twice before purchasing the next installment. ......

Thanks to who ever decided that Country Music fans deserve their place in the Rock Band series. I find it hilarious that I am singing a country song but I am watch a rock band perform! I am in the process of figuring this out because I have hooked up the drums but nothing is being recognized so now I am downloading the songs and I will put in the Rock Band disc and see if that solves my problem. The songs in this game are not the best but I hope that a V2 is on the way with much better selections but I am not complaining. Overall the most important thing here is Country Fans are finally being recognized. Also, I didn't know this until yesterday, there is a Singstar Country. I found it at Best Buy on clearance for 1/2 price:) This weekend has been like Christmas in August - I found Singstar Country and Rock Band Country. Nothing else matters.......

i hope they come out with a Track Pack volume 2 VERY soon! there is a great variety of music on this version, but so much they left out. no Toby Keith, Lonestar, etc. and they could have made better selections with Alan Jackson, The Dixie Chicks, and left off 'gunpowder and lead' and chosen an entirely different artist. as previously mentioned, it is VERY addictive. we are working now on 2 guitars and vocals. we'll add drums once we master that. Its a great game and finally something for the country market ( as noted above) ......

I'm a huge country fan- so I knew I had to have this! I saw that there was only 21 songs, which made me kind of weary. But, I got it anyway. I don't play everyday, by any means. And I have Guitar Hero, Drums and Guitar and I havn't tried to drums- but the guitar worked fine! But, when I play GH, it's on Medium so I play with 3 "cords". But on RB Easy= 3 "cords". On easy, it actually is pretty easy, I'm just not used to playing with 4 buttons- so when I work my way up it will be somewhat more challenging. I played it for about an hour and I had gotten to the second level. I stopped playing so that I wouldn't finish the entire game in one day. I was definetly singing along to some good country songs. Yes, some of them I didn't know, but overall good selection. If you like your country, I would recommend it! :) ......

With the success of great music games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band, there have been so many great songs that have made you feel like you were saying Rock On!!! Sadly, with all the rhythm games, even Dance Dance Revolution, there just honestly has been only one audience that has not felt like it has simply received the credit and the gaming excitement that it definitely has needed, the country music audience. Thankfully Rock Band has decided to give that a nice change of pace with the new Rock Band: Country Track Pack. The stand alone game for Rock Band fans tries to fan the flames of those who've wanted to twist and square dance jam their way to their favorite songs. Rock Band: Country Track Pack for the Nintendo Wii, is honestly the better one of the stand alone Rock Band game compilations that honestly brings in more variety than what has been overshadowed from music games. The game does a very strong job at bringing in a simple but enjoyable cavalcade of great artists into the gameplay from greats like Kenny Rogers to legends like Willie Nelson and Shania Twain. There are a lot of great songs to jam your way to the top to including classic Country music standards like Kenny Rogers hit The Gambler and Shania Twain's twang from 1995's Any Man Of Mine, to favorite for pop fans like Martina McBride's This One's For The Girls, and many others from the Dixie Chicks and Brooks & Dunn. The graphics look good, but the gameplay works well with all the Rock Band insturments from the guitars and drums as well as the microphone. Sadly though, I was a bit surprised gthey could've added a few tracks from legends like Garth Brooks and Dolly Parton as well. The second gripe is that I was also hoping that could;ve challenged against other wanna be country gamers online, but that simply isn't here either. All in all, despite a few artists that were overshadowed, Rock Band: Country Track Pack for the Nintendo Wii is definitely a must have for anyone who wants a bit of twang into their gaming life. I was honestly surprised Rock Band hadn't done that much sooner, but it actually is well worth the wait. I honestly hope that there are more country editions of the stand alone Rock Band game soon. Because I would like to see a sequel that'll make you want to do some line dancing your denims and boots off to the top of the charts. I enjoy the customizable workouts very much. There are many, many fun exercises. My only concern is that while doing some of the leg workouts the sensor does not pick up the fact you've moved and it keeps telling you to follow the instructor even though you already are. That aspect is very frustrating so I've ended up skipping some of the exercises.......

EA Active is a good game and good motivational and interactive exercise program. The 30 day challange is a good daily work out. The game is even more fun with a partner to compete against.......

This is a great product. The workouts are really decent and the multiplayer back is a great addition. It is lots of fun to do a workout with a friend!......

This pack is necessary if you share the Wii Active and need another set of handles for the resistance band.......

I've owned EA Active since it came out and have loved every single minute of it. I'd workout then my roomy would workout since we only had 1 strap to use. So it made it not that much fun from a watching stand point. We just bought a 2nd leg strap and LOVE THIS workout all over again. It is so much fun working out with someone. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying the 2nd strap to workout with ANYONE who wants to try it with you or if you have kids that want to try it. It's a great addition. Not worth $20 (because the resistance tube is useless...you have to go and buy a better one which is more $) but just to buy the handles and the strap is worth it in the long run. The handles are uncomfortable and I'm going to try and put some foam padding on them and see if that helps any. It gets the job done after playing for about an hour. This is a great game... my 9yrs old and my 6 yr old love it. I love games that they play 2 player as a team rather than against each other.......

I picked up this game because the Lego Star Wars game for the DS and Wii was so entertaining. After playing it for the past couple of weeks, I can honestly say this one edges out its Star Wars brother. The best part about this game is the mix of action (running, jumping, climbing, etc) with the puzzles. There's a good balance of both with more puzzles in this one than in Lego Star Wars game. Although the game uses both the standard Wii remote and the Nunchuck, the controls are simple and straight forward with on screen cues to guide you at times. Both the action and the puzzles are challenging enough for adults but not so challenging that my kids (7 and 9) couldn't master them. To top things off, the cut scenes are humorous with a few making me laugh out loud. The game covers the first three movies of the Indiana Jones franchise so you get hours of play out of the thing. Couple the long play with the fact that the price of other games being $10-$20 higher and it's easy to see that this game is a steal.......

Before starting the review, let me just clarify something...this game DOES NOT have Wii motion sensing...nothing will happen if you swing the Wii remote-don't bother, you'll look like an idiot. Now, let me begin. When I first got this game for the Wii, I kind of doubted it. I mean, it's like buying a singing game if you don't like singing. The Legos just attracted me to it, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. But after buying it, I didn't play it much. I played the other new games I got. After trying to play it, I just left it with my other unused video games to collect dust. After being bribed into it by my sister, I finally decided it was time to play Lego Indiana Jones again. I had a really good time playing it. My sister was always Indy while I was the secondary character, whether it be Short Rounds or Willie. You'll find that, throughout every episode, Indy is always running or chasing after the bad guys with his team and, also during each episode he develops a crush with a different girl. Also during every story, there's a little humor as there is in every Lego game. Lego proved itself worthy of my playing yet again and I can't wait for the second one. I also can't wait for Lego Harry Potter, because I'm a big fan of the books and I'm currently reading all seven through again. Lego can always be trusted as a video game theme with my experience, and if you haven't played just one, you're really missing out. ......

Bought this as a gift for a 10-year-old who really seems to like it. It came quickly, too!......

I've been playing this game with my wife. We've been having a lot of fun. We've played through the whole game once, now we're going back getting everything with all the characters we've unlocked. The total replayability is probably fairly low for us, because we probably won't play it again once we've gotten everything maxxed, but we'll get a couple of solid playthroughs, and we're having a great time. We've got a 6 month old, and he's quite a handful at times, but at any time, either of us can drop out, and take care of him, and hop back in whenever we're finished. There have been a couple of small bugs (like not being able to interact with a certain object), but restarting the level has always fixed it. It's only happened twice, and only really wasted about 5 minutes of our time.......

Lego batman is a fun and challenging game that my brother and I enjoy very much. It is rated e 10 because of cartoon violence. But most kids can handle cartoon violence like my 3 year old sister. If it where up to me and there was a rating called e 8 I would rate it that. Because I'm 9 years old and my parents have never complain d about me running around the yelling "I'm the Joker and I'm going to kill you", right after we turn the wii of. Unlike my 6 year old brother. so kids if your under the age of 8 you should probably wait just so you don't get in trouble. It is a great game and that's why I gave it 5 stars. And parents if you have a kid that is 5-7 years old probably shouldn't get the game yet so that you don't get annoyed like hell. one last thing I don't recommended to use cheat codes because I made that mastic e and then the game wasn't fun anymore ......

Lego Batman is fun and clever. It's great for almost all ages. Because you can play with both Batman and Robin at once, even my 4 year old can play because he can just "follow" along and get a little help with the puzzles if needed. My 7 year old loves it, and even my husband is enjoying playing. The "violence" is only little lego pieces flying around. The graphics are great! We love it. Highly recommended.......

I got this game because it was free, but I also wanted it because I have enjoyed the Lego Star Wars game as well. This one is just as fun and challenging. I have yet to play as a villain, but look forward to doing so to add to the gaming experience. THere is much to be had with this game and it never gets old. I didn't know how to use the Bat-A-Rang at first so it was something I had to stumble on before getting into the game itself. All you have to do is point the Wii remote at the screen after you have it activated, now it has become my favorite aspect of the game. It is hard to control the vehicles, but it's basically an all-out shooting spree and wrecking into stuff. I would have gladly paid money for this game to be in my collection. ......

You make the whole story, as you and up to three other players move into a town and just live life. Befriend your animal neighbors, decorate your house with cool furnishings, fill up your wardrobe, get to know the local wildlife, hop on a bus to visit the new city and just explore the world. There are a million different ways to play. Every charming animal character has a personality: some are grouches while others are chatterboxes. And there's no final goal or high score to hit. Kids love it.. I dont get it??? They love to play and can play with friends, which takes a PHD to connect, but they figured it out and play for hours!......

Anyone who's played any Animal Crossing game and likes it knows it's always hard to put down. I played the first game on the Gamecube but not Wild World on the DS-i. In all honesties, I was expecting City Folk to be like a carbon copy of the previous game. I'm delighted to say that though it shares similarities, both games stand on their own. You arrive in your town on a city bus (unlike the train from the first game, or from what I believe a taxi cab in Wild World) and like its predecessor you must move in and pay off a debt to Tom Nook. One big plus about this game is the scrolling screen when you walk/run around. In the Gamecube game the screen shifts abruptly as you walk around town, much like in the original Legend of Zelda. The scrolling screen for me makes the game run a lot smoother and it's a little more difficult to be caught by surprise by rare fish and rare bugs, because often times you can see them from a distance. Along with the scrolling screen I love that you can look up at the sky, which ends up being very useful when looking for balloon carrying rare items, or constellations in the sky (that you can draw yourself). The gameplay is a typical Animal Crossing game. You run around your town running errands and interacting with your animal neighbors, all in real-time. One big aspect of the previous game that's present in this one is all of the animals from the other games return in this one, in addition to new animals. Not all of them can move into your new town, but you can see them in the city. I'll get into that later. The post office is gone, having been merged with the town hall (which to me seems more practical). You pay off your debts via the ATM located here and even in the city, and you can store money away almost immediately in a savings account. Pelly and Phyllis are back as the clerks for the town hall/post office, though you can see Tortimer snoozing behind a desk on days with no special events. Pete pops up every now and then too, but he mostly makes his appearance known if you receive a special letter from Nintendo. The museum is back, along with new additions of an observatory to draw constellations, and a cafe called the Rooster where you can drink coffee and meet K.K. Slider. You don't have to mail you dinosaur fossils out anymore because the museum can examine them for you, which for me is a lot more practical. One big thing to like about this game can be summed up in 2 words: THE CITY. You don't need an internet connection to get there, and once you get there you can visit many shops of many characters from the previous games: Redd and his sketchy wares, Gracie and her expensive items, even the fortune-teller Katrina. You don't need to wait for these guys to just show up in your town because a hop-skip to the city allows you to meet them all at once. As fun as this game is, there can be some setbacks. You don't need the WFC connection to play this game, but without it the game can get boring pretty quick. You can't meet anyone from other towns (yes you can visit other towns via the internet) and the auction house ends up being worthless if you're working on your town yourself. I HIGHLY recommend getting the connection before you get this game. Then hook up with fellow players through any website (I recommend [...]) and you either might be able to visit them or they can visit you. Granted, if yours or their gate happens to be open. It can also be a real treat to hear about the happenings in other towns via animals in the city, or your own neighbors. Even with the WFC though, it can be very difficult to meet friends via Animal Crossing. I feel like if Nintendo had designed the City as being like a chatroom, where you can meet anyone from around the world, then it would be easier to find and visit new towns. But you unfortunately have to meet people outside the game, get their friend code and put it in, and then hope they're on one day. It'd be nice if the animals went vacationing in different towns through the WFC, much like they can vacation through memory cards on the Gamecube. Even better is if animals who moved away retained memories of your town and if you randomly met them in the City they could recognize you and tell you about their new town. I constantly see former neighbors in the City but they act like everyone else. I also miss the wild-goose-chases my neighbors would send me on in the original Animal Crossing. The "can you get my Gameboy/Pokemon cards/Magazine/whatever" to "oh, I lent that to someone else" was still fun, especially if you had to chase somebody to a different town. Mostly your errands in this game involve delivery packages and trying to find fish, fossils, bugs, or furniture your neighbor likes. The hunt to find items usually has a 3-day limit, but they don't hold it against you if you can't find what they're looking for. One major thing that bothers me is the saving system in this game. In the Gamecube version you had the option to save/continue or save/quit. Now you can ONLY save/quit, which in my opinion can make things a little difficult. I thought the old system worked, and I don't know why they changed it. But anyways, despite some faults this game is a lot of fun. I highly recommend this game to everyone, although I warn that it's hard to put down once you get started. The real-time continues to make things interesting and makes me come back for more.......

I got this for my 6 year old boys (twins). They love it. They can't read the text, but that hasn't taken away from the gameplay for them - no bad guys, and they can run around and collect stuff and explore. It's only one player at a time, but up to four different people can make characters, which all live in the same city. So, when one of the kids is playing, he can visit the other one's house, and see that character sleeping, or send him mail, or see stuff that he dropped on the ground. For example, one character planted a seedling outside the store in town. The next day, the other character noticed that it had grown bigger.......

This game is soooo fun! i got this game for christmas and im adicted to it! I got the ds animal crossing before this one and that one was ok but if i had to compare the 2 of them the wii version kicks the ds versions [...] im serious! I just love how u can go to the city and chat with friends and decorate your room and fish and more! I play this game non stop for hours and it never gets boring! Oh, and the best part about this game is that....IT NEVER ENDS! This game is totally addicting - but it is so much fun! - It is very cool that the town changes in real time (if you are playing at night, it is night in your town, if it is winter then it is winter in the game, etc.) They even celebrate holidays with you! That is an awesome idea - although, be careful because it can be very consuming and addicting - it is hard to stop playing sometimes! Also, even though the idea that it is in real time is exciting, that does mean that if you want to do certain things you will have to play at specific times - like, to gain music to play in your stereo you have to go to the cafe and listen to K K Slider but he only plays on Saturday nights after 8 p.m. so if you have a life this might be difficult =) And some stores close at night so if you are someone who likes to stay up late and play there will be some things you cannot do. But all that aside, there is definitely enough to do even if there are some things you can only do at specific times. Fishing is very fun. You can catch bugs, donate to the museum - it is very fun to donate fish to the museum and see your collection swimming around. It's a great game - just be aware that to do certain things in the game you'll either have to make a point to play on a certain day or time or just forget about it and come to terms with the fact that you might not get that much music because you'd rather be at a bar on Saturday night. Either way, I love this game.......

I get why it's called a cardio workout rather than a boxing workout. It's caloric burn "packs a mean punch!" (pun intended) So, although it is a boxing workout, boy is it known for it's caloric expenditure! I wear a bodybugg to measure my daily caloric burn as it occurs. I mention this only because what I say is based upon measured accuracy rather than just "feeling" like my heart rate is up or not. And I take note of what burn I get during my wii games and fitness dvds. This one burned the most calories in the least amount of time. There is a reason kickboxing is so popular and just plain boxing is as well at the gyms and on dvds...the moves don't feel like high exertion, but burn high calories via the upper body intensity work, especially when shifting your feet so you have even a little leg movement as you do here. Although I have boxing and kickboxing dvds I love, and even some spliced in to workout dvds such as the Biggest Loser dvds...this was FUN!! The difference in calorie burn vs calorie burn WITH gaming fun is huge for me...if I'm having fun, I don't watch the clock so much or wish for my workout to end. And this will take you totally into interactive play where you "FORGET" you are losing weight. Don't need to lose weight? Ah, how I envy you...but you'll still love the game. It's good for your MIND and body. And I think that's what brought such interest for me...because I had to think of the gaming aspect of it, left hand or right, hook or jab etc. it became a good game in each segment I completed. Plus you don't just get "scores" but rewards...you advance and clothe your mii and add routines based on how you do. Let me say...I had my doubts about me having fun on this one. I held off ordering it until I saw enough good reviews...I just wasn't sure punching and jabbing would be worth making a cardio game of it. IT IS!! I utilized the game with a wireless nunchuck and remote and found that worked great. However, you can also you 2 wii remotes. I don't much recommend a wii remote and wired nunchuck because the wire gets in the way. The music is motivating and is REAL tracks to REAL songs...not just elevator music. I like that. I can't tell you how mentally "tough" you feel with "Eye of the Tiger" spurring you on! The ease of learning to play couldn't be easier...in fact, there are no book directions included because you don't need them. They take you through the steps you'll do but they are the simple boxing moves, but set to several different games and workouts. For beginner or advanced...nothing that either couldn't do or have fun with. You'll enjoy competing against your best numbers and doing great boxing moves to several games that all held great interest for me. You'll also get a good core workout without thinking about it because you have to twist during cross punches which are utilized in workouts for added core. And you'll melt off calories without even thinking about it. I did not use my balance board during the game at all so don't feel you have to have it if you don't have one. You'll be sweating in no time! Negatives: I don't like ending a review without negatives. So far the only thing I have found is that sometimes when I hit the red and blue hand paddles it shows I did a punch that I didn't...but I may not have had my hands at proper stance during these times either. It's nothing major.......

If you like the boxing part of Wii Fit but feel that it could be a little bit better, than this game is for you. I use it as an intense 30 minute cardio workout that will tone your arms, back, and chest quickly with only 3-4 days per week use. There are also extra exercises that are just as good as their counterparts on Wii Fit. It works great as an alternate to Wii Fit. Use this game one day for cardio, then Wii fit the next day for the yoga and balance games. ......

I purchased this Wii Game with few expectations. I wasn't quite sure what would be involved in the game. My husband and I both enjoy it. It's a great cardio workout, but it also exercises our brain too! Within a few days of using the program, our arms, shoulders, back and sides were aching in a good way! However, we're pretty much couch/computer potatoes so take that for what it's worth! But this couch potato LOVES this game! It's balance board compatible, but we haven't used it with the game yet and find that the instructions are easy to use! The trainer gives you simple instructions to learn and it progressively gets harder the more you use it! ......

This game is essentially a boxing game with some other added-in exercises. It does a good job teaching the various moves, and it is fun and provides a great workout. For those of us who like the idea of boxing with Wii but were disappointed by the boxing provided by Wii Sports and Wii Fit, this is a huge improvement. Overall, I am very happy with this game and am glad I got it - how ever, I want to point out a few things that could use fixing. First of all, there are a few spelling errors (examples include: "swing insward" and "rught uppercut") Secondly, the instructors occasionally shout out the wrong thing. For example, "let's do jab and uppercut" when in fact you are supposed to do just an uppercut. Finally, the movement required to have the game register that you have performed a right or left weave is extreme and I have had to make excessively large gestures with my arms in addition to actually doing the weave in order not to "miss" the move. Overall I would absolutely buy this game again, but I think with a little more care in the editing process, it would have been a better product.......

I'm a lazy college student who doesn't like to get up and exercise. Running and going to the gym really bores me so I thought I could find a Wii game that would make it more fun. I have tried my Fitness Coach and EA Sports Active and I found this game to be the best one of the three in terms of motivating me to work out. My Fitness Coach was too boring and played out like a work out DVD, and EA Sports Active was just too complicated for it's on good (the motion detecting features aren't implemented very well). Although Gold's Gym lacks flashy features such as complicated motion detecting, graphics, extended balance board support (i.e. mostly user interface/accessory stuff), it's easy to use and effective at what it does, and it plays out more like a video game than the rest of the fitness games (other than Wii Fit). Yes the main exercises focus on boxing but it's much more than that. You have to box to the beat of background music while shifting your balance back and forth. As the routines get more complicated, you have to duck and sway by bending your knees, which works your legs. I enjoyed how was doing squats and I didn't even realize it! I guess the reason why I thought this game was fun was because it was more like Guitar Hero in that you have to do the right motion at the right time while maintaining a rhythm. If you like Guitar Hero or Dance Dance Revolution and are willing to deal with the sub par graphics then this game is for you! I give this game 4 stars because the graphics are a little lacking (too simple and the main screen work out screen is box like). The game would be way more enjoyable if it was made more realistic like boxing in Wii Sports or something where you have a goal rather than punching boxes moving down a grid. I don't own a Wii Fit balance board so I don't care about that feature. My break down of the features: GRAPHICS -- Could do better!! If the backgrounds were more involved than it would feel more like a game. SOUND -- I thought the music was good compared to other work out games. It gives a good beat for you to follow along to. CONTROLS-- The actions are simple and the Wiimotes are easy to use, unlike EA Sports active where you have to put the Wiimote and nunchuck in the exact place for it to register. Of course, there are times when punches and ducks don't register but it's no big deal. USABILITY -- No complicated instructions or annoying menus you have to press through. Set up a profile in 5 minutes and you're ready to go! This game has a learn-as-you-go style. No annoying instructions to read through or complicated exercises. No wasted time! EFFECTIVENESS (in terms of work out) -- This definitely brought my heart rate up and I was sore for 2 days after! Tip: You have to shift your balance and "dance" to the music to have the cardio effect. Otherwise, it's just going to be as effective as sitting on your couch and moving around your Wiimote.......

I really enjoy playing GST. I have read a lot of negative reviews on the internet, but i wont be joining them. I play Grand Slam Tennis without the MotionPlus adapter and maybe that is why i enjoy it so much. I havent played the game with the adapter so I dont know how hard it can be, but without, its very enjoyable. I won only my second Grand Slam event (French Open) and currently have won 22 and lost 1. My current win streak is 17. I say to all those people who think it is too hard, dont play with the motion plus and just enjoy the game.......

I wanted very much to like this game as I've been looking for a quality tennis game for the Wii. However, as much as I want to like this game, I just can't give it a passing grade. Hitting the ball is easy enough for either the forehand or backhand. The major problem with this game is that the computer "constantly" positions your player in the wrong position. For example, your opponent hits a cross court shot to your forehand, and yet the computer will run your player to the wrong side of the ball forcing you to try to switch to a backhand shot, which of course there isn't enough time to do that. This is constantly occuring where you should be hitting an "obvious" forehand, or backhand, and yet the game positions your player incorrectly on the wrong side of the ball and you simply miss the swing. This is the biggest flaw with this game. With all the potential it has, when you loose point after point in a match because you swing a forehand, but the computer has your player backwards, it quickly becomes an effort in frustration. The game also seems sluggish with reading the Wii remote with the motion plus adapter. Sometimes you have to start your swing earlier than what the graphics on the screen would make you think. The customization of your player is adequate, but for a [...] game, it really should have offered more options for customizing your character. The face, head appearance, etc. is pretty limited. The sounds and action in the game can be pretty exciting, but the constant missing of shots due to the computer positioning problem of your player kills this game for me. (Another thing I found odd and a bit annoying is the "extreme" and constant access of the CD by the Wii console. The CD has non-stop seeking going on during all aspects of this game.) The Wii games don't get any more costly than this one, but the end result is you're left with the feeling that you bought a game out of the [...] bin at Walmart. ......

This review is strictly going to address online play as many other reviewers discussed the game in general. Pros: Grand Slam Tennis online is much more challenging than playing against the computer. If you've mastered the single player modes, online play will drastically increase this game's replayability. When playing singles (I haven't played doubles as you need two players on the same Wii in order to do so), you can either play in ranked or unranked matches. For unranked matches, Grand Slam Tennis pairs you up with an opponent and you play. For ranked matches, the game works on a point, tier, and rank system. You will initially start out in the lowest tier with zero points and the lowest ranking possible. You earn points by beating other players, moving up in rank and moving into higher tiers. Depending on your opponent's ranking, points awarded or taken away will vary based on your opponent's ranking (gain more points by beating a high ranking opponent, but lose less if you lose). Grand Slam Tennis will do its best to match you up against opponents in your tier. This setup is great because it helps ensure that your opponent will be of similar skill and experience. This tactic doesn't always occur when there aren't that many people online and you can't be matched with a player in your tier. As you earn more points, you will lower your ranking and move into higher tiers. Rankings can be viewed on the Wii (it would be nice if you could also do this on the internet at EA.com) based on your individual tier or the overall top 100 players. You can either take a real life player into the online arena (many of your opponents use Nadal) or bring your created player from the Grand Slam mode. Cons: First of all, lag is a huge problem. This becomes an issue when a play seemingly should be over, but that isn't always the case. If the ball bounces more than once, play doesn't automatically stop and your opponent can still return the ball. Another lag issue occurs when the ball freezes in mid-air, allowing your opponent to reach the ball and return an otherwise unreturnable shot. There have been plenty of shots that should be winners and hit the back fence/wall, only to have the ball disappear and reappear in front of my opponent's raquet as he/she returns the shot. The lag issues don't stop with your opponent. The line judges and referees also are a victim of lag, delaying calls that are made instantly in single player. All of these issues take some getting used to. In other words, don't assume a point will be awarded and play will stop because many times, that isn't the case. In some matches, lag is either hardly noticiable or non-existant. But in others, the lag is horrible. The one positive about this is that the level of lag stays consistent throughout the match, so there won't be any suprises late in the match. Limited options are another issue. Single player matches will consist of a single set to three games. There is no way to add more games per set or more sets per match. An in game text messanger is included in the game, but it is hardly usable. You can't text opponents during a match and every opponent that I have played appears offline immediately after the match. This has to be a glitch since I have ended up playing some opponents again when looking for a new match. The only instance I have seen when the messanger worked was when I received a message from someone after a match. My last main concern is with cheating. Now all of my cheating complaints could be related to lag, but I somehow don't believe so. In one match where I was playing the number 50th ranked person, every one of my first serves (save one) were faults. My opponent never moved, almost as if he/she knew it was going to be a fault. The only time my serve didn't result in a fault was the one time I got an ace (again, opponent never moved) or when I served up a slow easy shot. Never before while playing have I seen that many faults, and it never happened with that frequency in other matches. In another match against a top 50 opponent, after returning a serve, play would abruptly stop and a point would automatically go to my opponent, even when my return shot landed right in the middle of the court. This has happened during other matches both for and against me (which is unfortunate either way since I don't want cheap points), but the frequency in which this occurred in this particular match strongly suggests cheating. After a match, you can use the messanger to report cheaters to EA, but there is no way to tell if anything actually happens based on your report. Conclusion: Overall, this game is still fun online. Despite all of its flaws, I still find myself turning on my Wii to play Grand Slam Tennis online. The challege is much greater than in the single player game and really extends the replay value. However, the game can gets frustrating as lag sets in. Even the most lag free matches don't flow as smooth as they do in single player. I definitely will be looking for next year's version in high hopes that EA fixes these issues. If EA can accomplish this, I'll be playing Grand Slam Tennis for years to come. ......

EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis had potential to be a really great Motion Plus title for the Wii, but the controls and motion tracking leave a lot to be desired. For starters, it's not really a true 1:1 experience, as all of the hype and demonstration videos would have you think. Serving in the game is as far from 1:1 as you can get without taking out motion controls all together. The rest of the controls do an okay job at pretending to be 1:1, but they just aren't that convincing. By far the biggest drawback of this game is that the controls can be extremely finicky, especially for somebody who is trying to just pick up the game and have fun. I play tennis and personally found the controls to be VERY frustrating at times, as you are forced to play and move the way the game wants you to; not with your own style, movements, or even posture. There are tips and tricks posted all over the Net which all claim to be the miracle solution to fixing this game's control issues. While some of them DO improve the reliability of the motion controls, the fact that you have to baby the controls at all just goes to show how flawed this game really is. If this game was truly as great as some people say it is, you wouldn't need to calibrate your WM+ controller between every point, or use any number of other tricks to get the game working properly. You should be able to pick up the controller, knowing which side was the racket face, and play tennis without having to micromanage your movements to prevent throwing the controls out of whack. The simple fact is that you cannot do that. You must train yourself to play the way the game wants you to play. While doing this may reward players with a more enjoyable experience in the long run, I feel it should be enjoyable from the time you pick up your virtual racket and start playing. Wii Sports Resort did a much better job at managing calibration issues and anyone who plays that game first will see the obvious differences when trying this one out. Overall, this reminds me of the first Tiger Woods golf game that was released for the Wii. The controls could be better and motion could be tracked more accurately, while also being forgiving enough to not ruin your game every time you make a unexpected movement. While there may be a high level of precision that you can achieve once mastering the controls, I'm not sure how many people will be willing to bother with it. Hopefully, future installments will improve as the Tiger Woods franchise has. Until then, I think most people are either going to like this or be very disappointed.......

First of all, I love this game. Sure it takes time to master the swings and the plays, but I had fun doing so. It makes you feel like you are actually hitting the shots. With practice you can learn how to hit the ball right and play different types of shots like topspin, slice, flat etc. To time the shots is extremely important and if not timed correctly, the ball will most likely land out of play or you won't connect at all. Also the speed of the ball varies with the surface of the court, as in real life. Most reviews have already stated how good this game is, so I will list some frustrations and shortcomings. The practice mode sucks. You can practice with a ball machine, but it is no where as good as when playing against an opponent. This mode needs to be more elaborate and challenging. The motion sensor messes up a lot. When I lose a point, it is because my player does not swing (to hit the ball) at all (although I have done so), or has swung already (most likely because I made a tiny inadverdant movement of my arm and did not mean for him to swing). Also the player is too slow to recover. If the onscreen player swings inadvertently it takes him/her time to recover and swing again and by the time he/she does so, it is too late. At the net, the volleys the player hits are for the most part so weak and unsubstantial that it is almost painful to see him/her struggle. Sure if the opponent hits right back and you and the your player connects, there is no problem. But if the opponent hits it to either side of you, and even if you have planned or this, there is only a 50% chance that you player will play an effective shot. Playing with the nunchuck is harder and I have not mastered that yet. Without the nuncheck, your player will automatically start moving towards the ball and you have to do is make sure he/she is in the right position to hit the ball by using the arrows on the wii mote (this can be tricky though), but if the nuncheck is connected, your player will not move unless you use the nunchick to move him/her. With the nunchuck, the player does seen to move faster. You can create a player and win abilities from other players (if you defeat them in grand slam mode). These are supposed to help you when you play against and opponent and you can choose two abilities at a time that you wish your player to possess eg. forehand and strong serve. But I really did not see any difference even if I chose other abilities eg. my serve was the same even if I chose something else besides the strong serve as my ability. Overall, great and addictive game except for the above issues. I think the next one will have some improvents, especially in regards to the practice mode. And btw, where is Andre Aggasi?......

Gameplay
One of the most anticipated uses of the Wii Remote and Nunchuck controller configuration in the history of the Wii gaming system, gameplay in Lightsaber Duels is all about introducing players into the civilized but deadly world of hand to hand Jedi combat techniques. That means no blasters here. As the game's subtitle suggests, whether playing as a servant of the will of the Jedi Council or the Dark Side of the Force, players will wield a lightsaber in one hand and the power of the force in the other. This is where the Wii Remote and Nunchuck come in.

Far from requiring players to build up their skills and knowledge of the Force, the goal of the control scheme of Lightsaber Duels is actually designed to make even beginning gamers a force to be reckoned from the first duel they face. The Wii Remote controls your lightsaber through a series of tiered attacks. Left and right motions of the remote equate to light damage, up and down slashes represent medium damage and stabbing motions do maximum damage. As if we didn't get enough Jedi/Sith action with the Wii version of The Force Unleashed, Krome hands us another slice of Lucasfilm pie! Molded after the new Clone Wars film and television animation comes Star Wars, Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels! Using the Wii-mote for your Lightsaber again is great! Swings are responsive as they were in Unleashed. The clashing of Lightsabers is back and in full force. Krome added a few new clashing mechanics to get that "power struggle" feeling across when you play. Force powers are again mapped to the Nunchuk. Force powers in this game are not so profound as they are in The Force Unleashed. Every character is balanced out with his own style, powers, and moves. The characters and arenas look like they were taken right out of the show! High resolution textures and particles make this game beautiful. Sound effects, voices, and musical score all sound terrific. Yes, the Lightsaber sound effects are still heard in the Wii-mote speaker as they did in The Force Unleashed. The game emulates some of the show's greatest Jedi/Sith conflicts. If you loved The Force Unleashed on Wii, you will definitely want to pick up Lightsaber Duels for the Wii!......

I will begin by saying that this game wasn't as spectacular as I thought it would be. It is not like you are using the Wii remote as a light saber, which was disappointing at first, but once I got into the game itself and started playing, it became addictive. It's a challenge to get the moves down and the game has it's flaws, but it gives you a workout and you can have loads of fun playing by yourself or with someone else. It is much more fun to play against another person because it gets intense, but it is also fun to unlock the characters and see how far you can go in the challenges. All in all, it is a good game to have, especially when you are in need of a game to play when you have friends over.......

First of all I give this game a F minus. If I could I would give it no stars. I went to the store a couple of days ago to buy this game for my 12 and 7-year-old. After about 5 minutes they were both very bored of the game. My 7-year-old didn't even want to play this game any more. In one round his arm was already very tired. My 12-year-old had patience hoping the game would get better. But in a few more minutes he gave up as well. All you do in the game was slashing, blocking, and using the force. Also it said that you only needed a small movement to attack. But if you use a small movement you cannot hit them. [...]......

My son begged for this for his b-day and I finally bought it for him. I was concerned he wouldn't like it as much as the Lego versions, but he loves it! ......

previous reviewers have really downplayed this game but it is really not that bad. the graphics are actually really good for wii, maybe the the best sports graphics i have seen. true there is no franchise mode but the season is great the controls are good and you really feel like you are in the game. the thing is ea cut this game short there could have been so much more......

Don't make the same mistake I did. It's not worth the money. EA Sports has totally screwed this game up. The graphics are cartoonish (Meaning nothing looks real). They dumped the good play modes like dynasty mode and even just the plain old season mode. Gameplay controls are actually pretty fun, so if you have never experienced Madden in the past and like playing with cartoon characters then you may not mind this game. But I have seen a de-evoloution of Madden this year for the Wii.......

I like it a lot so far. I have never enjoyed Madden on XBox 360. Just seems the more realistic they try to make it look, the more the chronic flaws stand out and make it feel fake. This game has a different feel than recent Maddens. The fun factor is back. It's completely accessible for all ages and skill levels. You can have a casual game with the kids and then move on to a challenging game alone. The game looks great and runs very well on the Wii. The cartoony screenshots truly do not reflect what the game looks like in motion. It is smooth and very pleasing to the eye. The visual style adds to the fun factor of the game. Instead of reinforcing Wii's graphic inferiority to 360 and PS3, it shows that the arcade look is still alive and well. I can't say enough about the All Play and Intermeidate options for teaching video football to my son. The controls on Wii are so much more intuitive for children (and first timers) than on 360 or PS3. If you are used to pressing buttons that correspond to receivers, you may not feel that way. But if you've never played video football, it is very logical to point and throw. Right now he loves 5-on-5 mode with All Play controls. Over the next week or two, I'm sure he will ramp up to 11-on-11 and intermediate controls. But we will still play 5-5 a lot, it's a quick and very fun head-to-head mode. To one of the previous reviews -- there are several modes that need an unlock code to access (Franchise, Superstar, and Situation). Go to EA Extras, enter THEWORKS, then they'll be available. Reortedly EA didn't hasve time to overhaul the menu system with these modes, so they will look/navigate the same as '09.......

I was skeptical when I saw the trailer for Madden 10 Wii. Boy was I wrong! After logging some hours into this game, I love it. The new art style is the biggest change in my opinion and you'll either love it or hate it. I loved it, be open to a different style. The new multiplayer mode are fun, arcade-style fun you can have with your friends. Franchise, superstar, situation are all back. They haven't changed much, but they are still very fun. All of these modes are complimented by a new passing method, which allows you to point at the person you want to throw to. This is the best method out there in my opinion for passing. Pros: - New pointer passing - New multipayer modes - All returning modes are fully functional - The art style is perfect for the wii Cons: -Franchise and superstar are barely changed Conclusion: I personally love this game and my suggestion is to give it a chance. EA created a Madden unlike any other, just for the Wii. This is the most unique Madden I have ever played and I'm glad EA put time into making the Wii version different. Other people will blast this game for being different. Give it a chance and you'll love it!......

I bought this game with such high hopes and realized the only way you can do franchize mode is online, which I can't do. The graphics are ok, the sound is good, but the overall menu is terrible. No regular season mode, no franchise mode, no nothing. I would not recommend this to anyone.......

Gameplay: Getting Your Band Together
In Wii Music every band has six members: Two play the main melody, two cover the percussion beats, one covers the bass groove and one uses the song's chords to support the melody. As a band, the six members often play their special parts at the same time, though each player can jam however and whenever he or she wants. Play all at once. Take turns in the spotlight. Pair up in creative ways throughout the song. You can bring the band to life by yourself, playing one part at a time-or with up to four players. See game mode below:

Solo Play: When you play by yourself, you can add one part at a time to arrange the whole song exactly how you want. The Tutes are on hand to back up your band in any parts you need filled.

This Wii Game is nowhere near as interesting as advertising and interviews make it out to be. It is the flexibility that is attached to it. This is not to deem the instruments flawed through the motions you make with your wii remote, nor the idea itself. Take for instance the jam feature, which sounds like an awesome idea, once you have managed to use your instruments properly (the wii remote motions). However, it is not in all truth a jam session as the game makes it out to be. It is more comparable to a concert. The game does not allow for extended interpretation of the pieces which you play, meaning if you want the freedom to play what you will, this game has not allowed for it, even though you can play pieces incorrectly. You must stay with in the boundaries of the music given to you, which in my opinion is contrary to the trailers for this game.......

This is one of my favorite games. It's great for all ages. (I'm nine) You can even give it to someone as little as a two year old, and I bet they'll enjoy waving the Wii Romote and Nuncheck around to make noise just as much as a 10 year old would! There's a variety of instruments and things to do. It's also a great multiplayer game. My friends and I played it and we had a lot of fun, even though it was the first time they played it. But it's also fun to play by yourself too! Designing your CD jacket is a lot of fun. The mini games are great too. You can conduct, play songs with hand bells, and play a pitch game. My mom even likes them. If you get bored with the game after you bought it, wait a few weeks or so to play it again; you might have as much fun as you did the first time you played! I never bought Wii Music, but I rented it THREE times from Blockbuster. If you rent something three times it has to be good! Right? I think I'll buy it soon. I have it in my house right now. So, if you want to have a lot a fun, I strongly suggest you buy it!......

I love this game so much. Its the BEST GAME EVER. You can learn 60 insruments. I Learned alot about playing insruments. I couldnt keep track of time but when I asked my mom she said I played for 3 hours. I created 15 videos that you can create. The Mistro teaches you 4 insuments. And then you can pick from 5 songs and play it. Then you have the option to make it into a video you give it popularity points and pick a backround an frame it (optinal) and drag you and your tweets over to where you want. Or if you did a solo it won't show the tweets. This game is my all time favorite out of all 10 of my wii games. Hope my review was helpful. ENJOY YOUR GAME!!!!!!!!:):)......

Super Smash Brothers Brawl is what I call the defining game on the Wii. Unlike other games that resort to using motion controls, this game returns to the use of a nonmotion guided control scheme to allow for a wide array of fun. At its core, Brawl is a traditional fighting game with the usual onslaught of combos, playable characters, and modes. However, surrounded by this core is excessively addicting gameplay, collectibles, music, and fan service. Potentially, this game is a fan service game. It features hundreds of references to many Nintendo properties and even a few third party playable characters. I could sit here and describe every single mode to you but that would take me forever. Brawl packs so much but where the fun mostly lies is in its versus mode. There is an online versus mode but due to constant lag problems it should be avoided. This is the definitive local multiplayer game with up to four player support using any combination of wii remote control, nunchuk, classic controller, and gamecube controller. The only negative aspect of this game is the annoying single player mode called the subspace emissary. It is all flash and no substance. Basically a player plays this mode to unlock a few collectibles or characters (though characters can be unlocked by fulfilling other feats in the numerous other modes). There is no voice over work performed in the cutscenes in this mode, little background information is given, and it brings back to life an annoying gameplay mechanic from times past, replaying boss fights... Looking beyond the subspace emissary you shall have a game that is loaded with tons of features and all. It will take more than 100 hours to unlock every collectible (yes because there is a collectible for having 100 hours of playtime), for people who do not have tons of local players to play with there is a decent online mode or one can just constantly play against ridiculously over powered PC controlled opponents. Ultimately, if you are a Wii owner you need this game!......

Next to Super Mario Galaxy, this is one of the best games on Wii and a huge improvment over Melee. Now you can have up to 35 characters to use, play on new and old stages, play more modes, play on the internet, choose which type of control you'll use (Gamecube controllers can be used), and even build your own custom stages! And much, much more! You just have to buy the game and see for yourself! I can't describe all the great parts of this game in a single review. Presentation- 93.5/100 Typical Smash Bros openning scene and improved menu system. Graphics- 94/100 Very detailed and well done, but Mario Galaxy's are far better. Sound- 96/100 All The sounds of the series translated wonderfully over to Wii. Gameplay- 97/100 Like Melee, but about five times better. Replay Value- 99/100 I got this game almost a year and a half ago, and I still keep coming back for more every few weeks! Overall- 97/100......

Great game. Probably the best nintendo game made. This game's definetely an improvement since Super Smash Bros. Melee. The adventure mode is my choice of my favorite part of the game and special brawl lets you jazz up the game a bit. Wi-Fi battle lets you practice your skill against other players. If you are thinking about a wii game to buy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is a great pick.......

Let me start off by saying that I was not a fan of the single player mode, but I never have been in fighting games. This is why I gave it four stars out of five. Besides that, I had a great time playing this game with my roommates and other friends while up at school the past couple years. Being a fan of the Melee version of the game, it was nice to see all the stages back in this version as well as the adaptability to play with the gamecube controllers. The game can also be played using the wii remote with the nunchuck or without the nunchuck (it was the easiest with the nunchuck when I finally got a hang of it). This was the first game I ordered for the Wii when I got the system and it is still my favorite multiplayer game that I own (Mario Kart Wii is a close runner up). I would recommend this game to anyone that wants a good game to play while hanging out with a few buddies. BTW, One complaint I here a lot about the game is that most stages are very interactive and can affect one's gameplay. I personally like this because you sometimes have to be aware of the whole stage, but others disagree with me. Just a warning.......

It's Great When It Works, But It Only Worked For About 1.5 Months And For That It Get's 1 Star. Very Cheap Made Even Though It Looks Cool With The Blue Light......

I got this along with the Wii knowing that I wasn't going to burn a small fortune on alkaline batteries. When I got this, I was naive and thought that I would just have two wiimotes and would, generally, play alone. Yes, I was wrong. I suggest you get the Wii Charge Station Quad because I am telling you right now that you are going to get 3 more wiimotes whether you like it or not. While it's too late for me to follow my own advice, I can tell you more about this charging station. When you first charge the batteries, you must leave them there for a minimum of two hours (not fun when you just bought a wii). If you don't do this, then your batteries won't hold a charge and will tend to drain quickly -- congratulations, the battery is about worthless. So, please do wait the full two hours. After the initial charge, however, the battery can re-charge in about 45 minutes. You can get more Wii Battery Kit - Colors May Vary for the rest of your wiimotes and do rotations for charging, if you did not follow my previous advice. It uses an indicator LED to let you know the progress of the charge: Blue is charging and green is done. The cord is about 3 feet and the plug is polarized. Meaning that the plug has a wide metal connection and a narrow metal connection for the positive and negative sides of the outlet respectively. If you still don't know what this means, it means that there is a wrong way and a right way to plug it into the wall, so be careful when you plug it in. It uses between 24 and 48 Watts depending on your AC input (between 120 and 240 Volts). The NiMH batteries are rated at 1700 mAh. It also has a textured rubber foot on the bottom so that it doesn't slide around. Yes, it was a terrific investment. I can promise that you will spend this much in batteries in about 2 months or less if you play games a lot.......

I've had my Nyko charge station for just under two years now. It's served me well all this time as I've never once bought batteries for my Wii-motes. I've decided to write this review to inform potential buyers to take care of the product during use. One of my rechargeable batteries that came with the package is no longer functional. This is as a result of the contacts at the back of the batery being eroded, as well as the contacts on the charger stand being slightly bent and/or pushed in. Other than that this was a great buy and at least I've still got one battery left that holds charge excellently ( I'm a casual gamer) as I've never had the batteries die while I'm playing even if I play a couple hours a day and forget to recharge the batteries between each use. I won't purchase another one though as I'll opt for regular rechargeable batteries that I can charge without putting a remote out of commission to do so.......

It's beyond me why they wouldn't make a channel or something so the straps would stay out of the way. I wouldn't recommend this particular charger.......

Sadly, I have to agree with the other 80 1-star reviews. This charger is finicky and poorly made. If you don't put the Wiimotes in the charger EXACTLY right, they do not make contact and don't charge. Now, after six months of use, our charger doesn't work at all anymore, no matter how carefully you place the Wiimote into the base. Amazon has this on sale today for a great price, but I will not be wasting another dime on it. Instead I am going to do like another reviewer suggested and purchase some rechargeable AA's.......

We are new to Guitar Hero. The setup was quick and easy. My 5 year old and my husband play almost every day. They both enjoy it so much that my one year old picks up the sticks as soon as they are free and starts beating. My only request would be a wireless microphone and to not have wii-motes inside the guitar and drums. The xbox controllers do not require that you hook up the remotes. Other than that, this is a lot of fun for my entire family.......

Instead of repeating what every review covers, I'm going to focus on a few negatives that I find annoying. For the usual stuff, read other reviews. I do, however, find this to be a fun game and worthwhile purchase. The biggest complaint I have is that the game requires a Wiimote for every instrument. I can understand this for the guitar and even the drums, but why for the microphone? There is no reason for the microphone to not support the Gamecube controller. I only own 2 Wiimotes since the multiplayer games I play with 4 people (Mario Kart and Smash Bros) both support using Gamecube controllers. This is a major oversight in my opinion. Why is it that they insist on having the longest game startup with logos for every company involved in the game? It takes way too long to get into the game. It's been true of all guitar hero games released so far and it's still annoying. It's a minor complaint but it's slightly annoying that it requires so many free blocks to download songs to the SD card. I was pleased to see that this is one thing that will be fixed with Guitar Hero 5. Finally, the note tracking for the drums is horrible at times. I've only played through easy but there's some songs that are so repetitive and boring that it's hard to believe they couldn't have done better. I know it depends some on the song but some of the songs are just pathetic. Like I said it's still a good game and I enjoy it but it does have a few flaws and I figured they were worth pointing out.......

I have read a lot of reviews about the GH Drum sensitivity but I have not notice it yet. Seems quite sensitive to me. Might go later? But overall, for the price, my kids love the GH Set on the Wii. Wii GH rocks! Love it!......

I played Rock Band at my friend's house, but I do not know many songs, probably only 5 songs. Then I saw guitar hero advertisement for only $99, so I bought it and I just love it. It is almost the same as Rock Band, but I know more songs here. The only draw back probably I do not know how to unlock more songs. This is really a great game... ......

As a "child gamer" growing up in the hey-day of the NES gaming console, the "Punch-Out!" video game for that system defined a large portion of my life. Whether it was the initial struggles to beat such wimps as Glass Joe and King Hippo, the battles with Magic Tiger, Piston Honda II, and Bald Bull, or the epic confrontations with Mr. Sandman, Super Macho Man, and Tyson/Dream, that game provided (and still provides) me with hours of entertainment. Strangely, though, after the "knockout" (pun very much intended!) success of that original title, the franchise quickly stagnated and came crashing to a halt. Sure, a sequel was released on the Super Nintendo system, but it wasn't able to capture the charm of the original. Then, throughout the life of the '64 and Gamecube Nintendo systems, rumors would always pop up from time to time about a new Punch-Out game, but would quickly fall into the void. So, when a new installment was finally released on the remarkably popular Wii console, old-school gamers rejoiced at the notion of being able to dust off Little Mac's gloves and pink jogging suit to take on the animated bad guys once again. The game itself, judging by the nostalgia factor, does not disappoint. As Little Mac, you must fight your way through roughly the same gauntlet of cartoon pugilists as you did in the NES version, with a few SNES baddies speckled in between. In keeping with the kid-friendly style of the Wii, the opponents are even more over the top than ever, although they keep (with a few changes) to their original styles of fighting from the NES. Going through them one by one was a blast, as much reliving the "good old days" of the NES as anything, and the only "complaint" I had was in the difficulty arc. The first time through (although keep in mind that I can routinely beat Tyson/Dream in the original version), I only struggled with a few fighters. However, in the amped-up difficulty mode, I lost my first title defense to the headgear-sporting Glass Joe. Call me a wimp, but suffice it to say that I won't be completing that last mode. Thus, I really have to call the new "Punch-Out!" game a hit in terms of bringing back the audience from two decades ago. Yet, for so-called "Punch-Out experts" like myself, it left me just a little bit wanting in terms of another sequel. The walk down memory lane was terrific, but now I would love something new. Perhaps in this day and age of political correctness video games can't portray a drunk Russian (Soda Popinski) or a wimpy Frenchman (Glass Joe), but I would go over the moon for a new lineup of "lovable" (until you're on the mat, of course) enemies to figure out. This game was a good start, so let's hope Nintendo gives us something fresh the next time around.......

If you loved the original on nintendo, you are going to love this game. The added two player head-to-head option is great and will have you and your friends punching each other out for about an hour until you each collapse on the couch from exhaustion. I have never played the SNES game, Super Punch Out, but the game has characters from both games and even adds a couple new ones. Overall I think it is an excellent game.......

I have played the other punch out games and was excited to hear that this game was coming out for the Wii. If you are like me and have played the other punch out titles, you will find this game easy because you already know most of the opponents secrets. I was suprised at how quickly I beat this game. I would suggest renting instead of buying. Not much replay value either. ......

I got this game a few days ago, and so far I am really enjoying it. I haven't played the original game in probably 15 years, but many of the characters and character traits are the same, and suddenly you start to recognize and remember them from the original. Apparently there are 27 matches in career mode. 13 different characters, and then if you beat all of them, you play the same 13 again but they are more difficult the second time around. Then one final match. I am only about 9 matches in so far. After the first 6, I was afraid that I might beat the game too fast, but I see that they are quickly getting much more challenging. I think it will be awhile before I beat the game. The graphics have a nice, smooth, cartoon-y look. It's great fun and great exercise. Your arms will probably be sore after the first day of play. ......

I ordered this so I could have a 3rd remote for my family (me, wife and son) as we only had 2 Wii remotes. I thought it would be nice to get a game thrown in for some extra fun on top of the controller, even though I knew from the reviews to not expect much. I was a bit dissapointed as this game was obviously created to "teach" you how to use the Wii controller and show off some of its capabilities but not really have any lasting impact. They should have INCLUDED this game for free with Wii Sports when you bought the system new. Only 10 games on here and only few are worth playing over again. All the rest are junk/fillers. Also the controller did NOT WORK AT ALL. I tried it with alkaline batteries and with my Nyko rechargabele battery pack and it would NOT SYNC.I hit the reset button and got it to flash the lights but still wouldnt work/SYNC, so this is GOING BACK for replacement. Hope the next one works or else I will just order the normal controller without the game. Maybe these are OLD OLD controllers as this game is old from 2006/2007. I had to play it with my other controller. Best Game - by far Pool/Billiards is the best and the one I play every day. The physics on it are true to life. You hit it harder or softer and it does it. You hit the ball below centerline or above and it puts the correct forward or backspin on the ball. Ive played pool over 25 years and I got pretty good at this game in a short amt of time since I know the angles needed to sink the ball and make good cut shots on the table and had the feel for how hard to hit it. Still trying to beat my high score of 42 points (only took 12 shots to sink all 9 balls). The only thing I dont like about pool is you cant read the ball numbers easily and on the view from above the table, it doesn't let you hover over each ball or zoom to see which # it is so it makes it harder to plan your shot. If they fixed that flaw it would be perfect for the price. You have to sink them in NUMERICAL order 1 thru 9, so if you get a bad line of sight or get behind another ball and you dont hit the object ball first, you foul and lose 3 points. If you scratch the cue ball, same thing you lose points off your total score. Pretty challenging..and fun. For 2 player you trade shots if you miss. You gets points equal to the number shown on the ball, so if you sink ball 1 thru 3 thats only 6 points (1+2+3 so your opponent could win just by sinking the higher # balls even though they missed more shots than you earlier on, so dont MISS and turn over the cue ball if playing 2 player, just like in real pool. I mainly played single player The only other semi-games are: Duck Hunt, Tank Game, and Fishing. I wont go into details on these but they are OK games. Shoot the ducks and clay pigeons; Shoot the tanks and reel in the big fish. Pretty self explanatory. Tank shooting is pretty hard and you have to use some strategy until you get to a higher level then just shoot uzi style to hit something so you dont get killed by your enemies. The other ones I'd say, play them once to try them and then say bye bye: Find Mii - pretty hard to find the matches or differnt Mii's (like Where's Waldo for Wii) Table Tennis - not like real table tennis so dont get excited. You can only move left and right and forward and backwards and cant spin or angle that easily. Wii Sports Resort table tennis will be amazing Im sure and put this to shame. Pose Mii - forget this one, It gave me carpel tunnel syndrome in a short time. You have to twist your wrist too match the pose of your Mii and also gave mea headache as its a bit frustrating Charge - Like Mario Kart combined with Barn Yard theme. Cute but not so great. You really have to go go go and not slow down or you will never make it in time to finish. You ride on a cow and run over scarecrows and jump over hurdles and try to finish before time expires. I didnt like the fact that you had to play each one in THEIR chosen order, You cant select any of the games you want until you play it one time. Annoying. They want you to learn the controller at their pace thinking you arent smart enough :) After you post a score in each game then you can earn gold/silver/bronze medals in each when you earn a high score. Beat your highest score and earn a gold medal. This is the incentive to have you keep coming back to beat your high scores I guess. Id say buy the controller by itself if thats all you need (like me) and maybe save a few dollars unless you really want a semi-decent pool game, because thats all it will be good for me. My son might play a few games and like them more. haha it is after all HIS Wii :) (40 year old dad writing this review) Rent it first to try it out if you really want the games. ......

I enjoy playing this game with my 5 year old. We are addicted to playing tanks and playing together to get to the top level. The game is simple just one or two tanks depending on the number of players that need to destroy a variety of tanks with varying skills and capabilities in side of a walled playing field. You can use the regular gun or also mines. There are also fun games like the shooting range, air hockey, fishing, billiards and ping pong. The air hockey game is ok but a little hard to control the hitter. But it is still fun enough for my wife and I too challenge each other with a round of air hockey. The great part about this game is the ability to play with two people. The games are simple but fun to just put the disc in and play for a few rounds. It is also fun to try to get medals and high scores for each of the games. I have been playing this game for a few months now of enjoyement and I can see that continuing for some time. In addition you get another remote which I think is important for multi player family play on the Wii.......

I got this a while ago so i would have four remotes. I thought it would be a good deal because its only ten dollars more than a remote. But i should have just bought a remote because the game that comes with it is not very good. Its only mini games that is not even worth eight bucks. It does not even save it after u beat it. U have to beat it over and over again which it is kind of a hard game so its gets really boring. Even on multiplayer. The only good thing about this is the remote that comes with it.......

I never actually owned any DDR game but I've played DDR on other consoles such as Xbox and PS2. I was excited to play it since but was really disappointed at the track list. The songs are mostly bad sounding covers with cheesy background videos. There's also the lack of techno/electronic dance music which is the style I like (i.e. Butterfly or Heaven which are in previous DDR releases are examples). The graphics are boring and some songs have weird music videos in the background. If you're a DDR fan, don't buy this, you'll be disappointed. If you've never played DDR, then you might like it since you don't have any other DDR games to compare this horrible release with.......

I obtained DDR HP2 yesterday. My first DDR game and looks to be fun for exercise. I read the manual and it said to make sure to plug the included dance mat into the correct old-style Gamecube port on the Wii. What the manual does not tell you is that if you plug into the wrong port, you will still be able to work the menus with the dance mat. Hence, I plugged into the 4th port instead of 1st port and wondered why the mat was "broken" because it would not register any movement during the actual games. Switching to the correct port solved the issue. Some reviews mentioned broken mats and I wonder if this was the issue. Make sure you are really using port 1 on the Wii!......

I've been interested in this game since I saw people playing it back in 2001. I'm not real big into video games, and so I didn't have a Play Station, or any of the other consoles that you needed to play it at the time. But now I have a wii, and so I finally bit the bullet and purchased this game. There is a bit of a learning curve. The first song I tried, even on beginner, seemed awkward and difficult. Although I think I have good hand/eye coordination, I've never had to wokr on my hand/foot coordination until now. Even still, I found the game so entertaining that I played it for around 3 hours. By day two I had progressed from beginner to basic and was getting good scores on songs. It's also great exercise, as I was sweating quite a bit and my legs were pretty sore the next day. But it didn't "feel" like exercise, if you know what I mean. It didn't feel like a chore, it was fun. I love the songs. I wish you could download more off of the 'wii channel' or something. That would add some life to the game, but I suppose they'd rather you just buy another game. Even the older songs that are 'before my time' have been remixed to make them faster and more easy to dance to. I also like that you can customize the game, by turning off the hand markers, or turning off the jumping if you have joint problems. Over all, I definitely recommend this game, I'm so glad that I bought it.......

I have purchased several "active" wii games to go along with more traditional exercising. I like to do different things on different days so as to not get bored and have EA Active (love it) Gold's Cardio (love it) My Fitness Coach (hate it) Wii Fit (love it) Outdoor Sports (like it) Wii Sports (love it) and Wii Sports Resort (like it). I have wanted to buy a DDR to kick the exercise up a notch and when Amazon had it on a Gold Box I was so happy I bought one and another for a gift. It arrived today and I have played it for at least 1-1.5 hours totay and I LOVE it! I am in my upper 40's and have 60 pounds to lose and this is a great program to add to my "wii fitness" regiment. Even on the very easiest programs it is challenging and after a few songs I start getting pretty sweaty! The last time I had my young'uns to Chuck E Cheese there were a couple of teenagers doing the DDR machine there and they were awesome. I plan to dance and dance and dance my a$$ off and next time I go there I hope to have lost all my weight and get on the DDR machine there and put on a show of my own, ha! The songs are ok, but even the ones I don't know or really like that much don't bother me because I just think the "dancing" keeps me entertained. The mat works really well, very responsive, the game is easy to use, I highly recommend this as a very fun game! ......

This game is really really lame. If you have ever played a diffrent version of DDR you will be utterly dissapointed by song choices. The gameplay to get more songs is really confusing. I just want to get rid of this game.......

I purchased this game in March and played quite a bit when I first got it but with the guitar by myself most of the time. After a little over 4 months the drums have quit working completely and unfortunately EA only gives a 60 day warranty on this product which is a joke. I barely got to use the drums and they are dead. I have read about a lot of other people having these problems with the drums soon after purchase also. I wish I had known the warranty was so short and I wish I had played the drums more early on so they would have displayed these problems before the warranty was up. Do not let it sit if you get this, play it a lot so you can find out if you got a bad one right away. Either that or just get Guitar Hero. I am very disappointed with the hardware and support but the game is a lot of fun otherwise.......

This is really a great family entertainment, once you start you can't stop. And the wireless drums and guitar is a great detail.......

I love this game! I got it in March as a present and play almost every day. The transition from Easy to Medium took a few weeks, and I still haven't gone to Hard yet. I like the difficulty modes because every time you move up a level it's like all the songs are new again. It's an awesome party game. The only complaint I have with the game is more about the Wii than the game; there isn't much memory on the Wii for downloaded songs. I purchased an SD card, which helped. The Wii can be upgraded to accept an 8 GB SD card, but Rock Band will only accept a 2 GB SD card. So be sure to get the 2. Hopefully a patch or upgrade will be made available for Rock Band so I can get even more songs, even though I've downloaded about 40 songs and still haven't run out of room. All of the playing modes are great. I love going "On Tour" and competing in the battle of the bands that are available. My friends and I actually formed a band and we have weekly "band practice" together. My kid love to play too, even my 3 year old loves it when she gets to sing ("Eye of the Tiger" is by far the favorite). You can also play an instrument and sing at the same time, which takes some practice but is really fun to do (note that on percussion singing notes, you can make a noise into the mic instead of hitting it). Also, the guitar has high fret buttons and low fret buttons; the high fret buttons are smaller and easier for little kids to play, since the neck of the guitar is longer so most kids struggle with the low fret buttons. This is true for the Fender Stratocaster that comes with the game, I don't know about other guitars available. We bought a second Fender so 4 people can play at once (singer, guitar, bass, and drums). The "no fail" mode makes it easy and fun for new players to learn without ruining everyone else's game play, and makes it fun even for little kids to play without feeling sad they get kicked off stage. I recently purchased Guitar Hero: World Tour because I liked Rock Band so much and I thought I thought the games would be similar. They are NOT. I did like the fact I didn't need extra batteries for the Guitar Hero instruments and the slider feature on the guitar, but that's all that I liked better. The graphics, game play, avatar creator, and tutorials for Rock Band are much better. After only 72 hours of ownership (not game play) all my Guitar Hero instruments were failing in one way or another, so I returned the game to Amazon with no problem. I only wish some of the songs on Guitar Hero were available for Rock Band, since I really wanted to play them (but not on Guitar Hero). Overall, this game is a great family game that adults will enjoy immensely as well. After 3 months of daily play I am still not sick of it and have lots left to do. The download feature keeps the song library fresh (if you get an SD card), the graphics are really cool, and the rock store for the avatars provides endless laughs and entertainment. I highly recommend this game.......

So I got this game because I loved it on X-box and Playstation. And I love it for my wii. The quality of the game is great for being nintendo. You can do anything and everything that is done for the other platforms. Get this game if you really want to be challenged or just have fun.......

I think this product is terrible. I did by second hand, but this products doesn't seem to fit the standard Wii controller I have. The gun seems to be to thin to except the controller into the top portion and when placing your Wii control into this device it almost seems like you are going to break it. Not very pleased with the construction of the device at all.......

This gun is pretty good but I have found two main problems with it. 1. The handle is a larger than I expected it to be which makes it uncomfortable to hold for very long. I don't think children or women would find this handle very comfortable at all (smaller hands than men). If the handle was a softer plastic then it might be OK, but it's very hard plastic. 2. The strap needs to be removed from the Wii Remote in order to fit into the gun which is annoying. I'm planning on modifying my gun via Black & Decker drill to allow the strap to remain attached.......

The Wii perfect shot gun is a worthless piece of plastic with all 1st person battle games especially if you have to connect the nun-chucks.......

This part for your wii is good for games like House of The Dead. For games like Call of Duty, it doesn't really help. But if you have that shooting game that must have a gun, take this one. A great game for kids i gave my 11 year old son this video game. he loved it very much. Great for kids ......

But I'm a Lego video game fan-all of the lego video games I've played have been really fun since I started playing Lego Island 2 and Lego Racers on my computer when I was little. I've only ever played one Star Wars game (Jedi Knight Pathways to the Force) that I completely fell in love with. I think I only saw half of one Star Wars movie when I was little (the one with Darth Mual) so I didn't really get the plot-I just played. That game used a gun, though. I've always wanted to try playing a video game where I could swing a lightsaber (again, I only saw half of one Star Wars movie so sorry if I spelled lightsaber wrong) at my opponent. I wasn't going to buy the Clone Wars game so I gave the brand I trusted a shot. My favorite characters would be Qui-Gon Jinn and Yoda-I don't even know who Qui-Gon Jinn is or if I even spelled his name right! The little cutscenes are easy to follow, although it was quite upsetting when x's appeared on Qui-Gon Jinn's eyes, (him being my favorite Jedi) in the first episode. The worst episode would be the last one (the one with Luke Skywalker) because that one doesn't have too many lightsaber action. When you actually swing the Wii-mote, the lightsabers move at your Wii-command! You swing, your character swings. You defend, your character defends. There are also many characters to unlock, buy, and choose from. This game is worth the buy--5 out of 5!......

This is a great Starwars game! It is funny and it does not take you a short time to beat the game. It is challenging but still very fun. This game is one of my favorites. It keeps you interested through the whole game. It has great graphics. Over all it is superb.......

This game is more fun than the PS2 Lego Star Wars I and Lego Star Wars II combined. My only problem is that it has too many glitches. My son and I created our separate profiles. I have unlocked all the red bricks and majority of the minikits in my profile with only 2 minikits left which are diffixult to get. My son's profile has 39%. If I play mine first and quit and go to his, his profile has all the extras including the minikit and brick detectors, dark side, X2, X4, X6, X8 X10 - everything even though they are not beat and bought yet. I get the True Jedi the moment I get in because 1 point is multiplied by 3,840. The story part is more like freeplay because it has the arrows showing where the minikits and red bricks are. The only deifference between the story and freeplay is you cannot pick and change into other characters. I hope Lucas Arts makes note of this because this is a major glitch that makes this game boring after a while. ......

I have lost 15 pounds and have done 62 workouts over the past three months. I have had slow and steady weight loss, which is what I was looking for. I love this workout. I do the 15 minute workouts five times a week, which is enough for me right now. When I have lost some more weight, I will step it up to the 30 minute workouts. The only thing I don't like about My Fitness Coach is that I can't make it understand that I can't do high impact. I wish there was a way to make it stop with the jumping jacks already. I have too much weight on my frame and my knees and ankles can't take it. Whenever jumping jacks are required, I just do as many as I can before it hurts and then march in place or something until the next exercise.......

I bought this because I was recovering from a foot injury and needed something that was more low impact to continue with my fitness quest. I like that you can adapt this to what you are able to do on a given day. She will ask you if it is too hard or too much fopr you and adapt the routine to fit. You can change the settings so you can exercise outdoors or indoors on the screen. I also like that you can customer set your workout. Again if you have a problem or not enough time on a particular day, you can adjust your workout for Yogas only and do 15 minutes, ir do a full workout of everything.,......

The challenge with any exercise program is always within yourself - getting motivated and staying motivated. Whatever positives or negatives there are to a Wii fitness "game," it'll always come back to that. The Wii Fit, in my opinion, is a landmark in video gaming and in home fitness. Its use of the balance board for games and exercises is really extraordinary - but limited. Over time, future versions of that game and other games that take advantage of the balance board will surely build on the foundation of the original. My Fitness coach lacks a few of the Wii fit's advantages: for one, it can't track your workout as well as the Wii Fit can - all it can do is ask you how you're doing, so you just need to stay honest. But My Fitness Coach does have a more dynamic cardio program (and other things, too, like building upper- and lower-body strength or flexibility), and its virtual environment and music is significantly more pleasant than the other-worldly Wii fit realm. I particularly like the scrolling text at the bottom that shows you how much more of a particular move is left and what the next one will be. I don't think I would want to use either of the two programs exclusively, but together they combine for a heckuva workout. No one can make you work out but you. If you're motivated, but are perhaps easily bored by repetitive videos or video games, I think this will be a good addition to your home work out routine.......

This game is exactly what I wanted and needed in a workout. The Wii Fit activities are too easy for me and have no variety. I wanted aerobic exercise and I wanted the routine to change. This game has many different steps and aerobic moves for a workout. You can set it at 15, 30, & 45 min intervals. You can tell it that it is too hard or too easy and it will change next time. You don't need the fit board, just a large workout area and some comfy shoes.......

I got this several days ago for my birthday. I love that this game actually does a fitness evaluation with your weight, measurements, resting and moderate heart rate, and exhaustion level with jumping jacks, sit ups, and push ups. Then, it helps you create a goal (weight loss, cardio, core, strength, etc) and a plan to help you reach your goal. For weight loss, it recommended 5 days a week for 30 min. It lets you choose the music and setting for your workouts and you can tell it what equipment you own and it will incorporate your equipment. I like that after every session, it tells you how many calories you burned. Two drawbacks so far - the workouts are your typical routines that you would experience at a gym, which is great, but for those of us that don't like working out, I would prefer it to be combined with a game or challenge to keep your mind off the exercise. Also, you have to type in your weight. It does not utilize the balance board to help you track your weight. Also, you have to wait until the next "evaluation" for you to enter any changes of your weight or measurements. Overall, it's going to be great. My husband is very fit and he really loved the workout he got. ......

First, I want to start out by saying that I REALLY enjoy EA Sports Active! Despite a few drawbacks I believe overall it is productive and fun to use (and certainly if used properly a very good workout). More Effort for Beginners: Beginners are better off making a custom workout; quite honestly if you try to jump into their 30 day challenge being completely foreign to exercise then your likely to injure yourself. Start slow if you need to and build up to doing some of the more strenuous exercises; for the most part its easy to set up your own custom workout! I was a little disappointed that they didn't have a work out set up for beginners and some of the exercises they start you out with could really hurt someone more heavy set (like me!). Great Instructional Videos!: One of the features I love about the active is that they actually have real people demonstrating the exercises in the video's! Another great aspect of the video's is that you don't need to hunt them down in the options, every time you do an exercise it will offer to show you the video at the press of a button. Making Your Own Routine: The reason why I have fallen in love with EA Sports Active is because right off the bat I could make my own work out routine; its easy to set up all you have to do is fool around with the options in your profile. I feel like I achieve more by doing my own work out and I'm doing enough to feel the burn but not making it so I can't move the next day. I watched my mother-in-law start with the 30 day challenge and said, "screw that." My mother-in-law is a big woman and is just starting out with exercising yet they had her doing jump lunges and other activities that could be really dangerous for a beginner (like stated previously). The Journal Entries: I think this concept could have and should have been expanded on more. Basically, they'll give you a medal for the day and give you a couple short surveys to fill out to determine which medal you deserve. The questions are simple, i.e. "How many sugary drinks did you drink today?" I think it would have been more useful if they allowed you to include a measurement tool because I'm sure one drink is 8oz's but most drinks are 12-16oz or more (just for example). You really can't keep an accurate food diary which I think is really the point to keeping a journal like this. ***The Controls: By far the most annoying problem in this game is the sensory of the paddles with the game. Seriously, you can be doing everything right but the sensors just don't pick it up all the time. For the longest time I thought it was my Wii remotes, sensory bar, or Wii itself and I tried EVERYTHING including replacing some of the smaller items, but in the end it has to be the game. I was having a hard time picking up the running, squats, and lunges the most (and for a beginner doing those over and over is killer). Not to worry though the more I got the hang of it and moved around the sensory bar for optimum reception I was able to limit the amount of glitches and have enjoyed the game fully since (with the occasional sensory issue). OVERALL: EA Sports Active is probably the next best thing to a personal trainer or Gym and with this economy who can afford either of those options? Don't get discouraged by some of its flaws, it really is a great start for the average working person, whether your just starting out or just trying to maintain your current status. ......

... well it is for me. Have looked into many other workouts but this one has a good variety of moves. It can be frustrating at times but overall it's a great workout. Pay attention to where the coach controllers start and end on each movement, that will save you some time and energy. What I would like to see improved: - What is the purpose of the journal? need tips, advice, etc...that improve my motivation.. - 30 days only then redo the same? why not create some random workouts with a level bias - kick backs need to be improved or taken out (really frustrating). - Trophies, coach words, nahh.. why not at the end of the each monthly challenge, unlock some newer workouts/monthly challenges. Looking forward to a newer version.........

I have to say that this is a really great workout. I was disappointed with the Wii Fit as it seemed geared more towards kids and many of the activities were for balance and timing. This "game" provides an excellent workout in about 40 minutes (depending on if you watch the tutorials). It nicely tracks your goals and progress and allows you to enter diet and other activity information. It is also a good mix of cardio and muscle strengthening/toning. 2 drawbacks...but would not deter me from getting the game in any way...the resistance band is very weak. Since I already had some other bands this wasn't a big deal. The other issue is sometimes the nunchuck does not "register" as in the correct position. Many times simply lunging lower will fix the issue. All around great title and worth the dough if you want to lose weight!.......

A clever game, Mario Kart incorporates the familiar characters from the Nintendo Games for an exciting racing experience. Several racing circuits each with four thematically different race tracks provide multiple challenges. Some themes include: Racing on a typical (but not elliptical) race tracks; racing through a gold mine (be careful not to fall off the tracks); racing down a snow covered mountain (watch out for the snowboarders); racing through the rural countryside (watch out for the milk cows that meander onto the dirt roadway); racing across the frozen tundra (watch out for the giant penguins); racing on a volcano (you guessed it, watch out for lava!); racing across the beach, through narrow city streets, along moonlit highways.... You even race through a shopping mall. The most challenging (for me) is the track called the rainbow road - in which you race along a spiraling rainbow in space without side rails. If you slide off the track, you become a meteor that blazes toward earth. The objective is obvious - win races. A player competes among a field of twelve racers, all various characters driving different carts or motorcycles. During gameplay, each racer picks up various items to give him/herself an advantage or sabotage competitors. These items range from turtle shells to banana peels. The game allows up to four players to race at the same time. My daughter and I race each other (she usually wins) and the television screen is split - her perspective is on top, mine on the bottom half. I cannot imagine playing with four players and dividing the screen into quarters. The game is best for a single player and fine for two players. Players choose from an assortment of vehicles, which all have advantages and disadvantages. There is a description for each one with a graphic display of speed, acceleration, drift, handling, etc. Successful players will unlock new game levels, new carts and cycles, and new characters. You can even unlock your own mii, which is full-blown comedy to see yourself racing against Donkey Kong and Mario.... Good luck!......

I love this game. It is so much fun. The first day i got this i thought maybe this wasn't going to be that good, but that all changed in one race. Not only can you play the new wii cources but you can play ones from nintendo 64, gamecube, Ec. The only thing bad is that you have different files and the things you unlocked in their can only be played there. I would say to just get a nunchuck instead of the wheel. The wheel is really sensitive and makes it hard to turn sharp turns. Overall i give mario kart 5 STARS!!! =) ......

I have no problem with my Arcade, It was manufactured on March 16 2009, and It has 512 MB (internal), everything is OK. buy with confident. A friend of my bought the "Elite" version that says Halo and Fable, May 2009, it is a LIE!!!, It was manufacturer on July 2008, be aware on this, if you really want a JASPER, buy an ARCADE to be sure.......

I purchased this latest release (april 2009 I believe) XBOX 360 Arcade from Amazon on JULY 31, 2009 and received a box that said 256MB internal memory. The Xbox itself says 12.1 Amps confirming that it has the latest chipset. When I powered on the unit, I was instructed to make a character and input a lot of info. On one of the screens read, free memory 352MB memory. I'm guessing that Microsoft puts a 512 MB memory unit in these and uses 200 MB to store the OS (operating system) and the programs necessary to connect you to XBOX live, etc. Cons: It does take awhile to get to your game. In the older XBOX gaming system, you can just put in your disc, turn on the unit and play. With this latest Xbox 360, you have to go through the menu and select the game. To power down the unit, similar to a computer, it is recommended to go quit the game, go back to the main menu and select "power down unit" or "turn off". Overall, no problems yet (I better not have any, it's only been 2 weeks). ......

The console I ordered on recieved was mfg date 6/22/09 and is definitely the Jasper chipset with the 1A and the 150 watt power supply. I bought it to replace my RROD'd 2 year xbox 360 pro console. It also has 512MB internal memory which is great to store your internal profile and system stuff as I've got 2 external hard disks. My primary issue is that the link that takes you to the page where you can select [...] does in fact specify 5 free arcade games however it takes you to this console. Ok I admit I can live without UNO and Pac Man C.E. however it is a bit misleading. As a FYI briefly this morning while on this page, the amazon site notified me that there was an upgrade for this model and when clicking on it it took me to the xbox 360 arcade with 6 free games, 512MB of internal memory (5 arcade and 1 table tennis sega). Not 15 minutes later when I went back to look at it again there is nothing. So basically right now there is a box version of xbox 360 arcade with the 6 free games etc etc. I suspect however that it has not reached retail channels yet or they are still working on dumping last months stock. I have informed MS of this descrepency, but I very much doubt they are going to do anything to remedy it. All that said, I am just happy to have my xbox 360 back - quite possibly the best console gaming platform ever made.......

its a great system, but i cant even connect to xbox live and I spent a whole day going under my house with an ethernet cable, and it doesn't the xbox live doesn't work and xbox couldn't give me a live person on the phone. But, overall theres a great selection of xbox 360 games anyway, and the games are pretty fun.......

I just received mine as well and it is a Jasper. It also has the 150W power supply. My system was made on June 22, 2009. Like the last reviewer, mine runs really quiet. I can't even hear the CD's running and yes it is directly right in front of me as I play games so not sure what the others are experiencing with it being loud. That is WITHOUT the games being installed on the hard drive. And no it doesn't have the chrome across the CD tray but in white as I prefer the white anyway as I think the chrome just made it look cheaper since its plastic chrome anyway. So all in all i'm really happy with it. It doesn't have the hard drive but just get one from Ebay they are alot cheaper there. I only have $230 total invested ($200 system )with hard drive ($30 on ebay). And if you have a 1080P TV please use the HDMI cable for hook up. You have no idea what you are missing until you see your games in HD! WOW! ......
